For sale vintage Rogers Holiday four piece drum set with matching Powertone snare in silver sparkle. Sizes: 20″ X 14″ bass drum (SN 7805), 8″ X 12″ mounted tom (SN 10198), 16″ X 16″ floor tom (SN 11113), and 5 1/2″ X 14″ snare (SN 8387). Serial numbers indicate Cleveland build in late 1965 or early 1966 and this appears to be a matched set. All internal paper tags are present and in pristine condition as is the interior of the drums. The set includes Swivomatic cymbal arm, tom holder, bass drum spurs and original Rogers snare wires. Snare stand shown is not included. This Rogers set is in outstanding condition and collector quality in my opinion. Wrap has very little discoloration, drums match in color, and all seams are tight. Wrap on bass drum hoops is tight and intact. No extra holes have been drilled in any of the drums. There is a very slight amount of snare rash/scuffing on the underside of the mounted tom (see picture). It is difficult to notice unless close up. There is the usual slight scuffing of the bass drum hoop where a pedal attaches. Chrome plating is excellent throughout with a trivial amount of pitting, I’d rate it a 9 out of 10. The condition of the chrome is one if the reasons I originally bought the set. All internal mufflers are intact and function properly. The drums have been stored in a smoke free environment. The floor tom bearing edges were re-cut by Modern Drum Shop in NYC. This was necessary to permit proper tuning of the drum, the edges were not flat when the drum left the factory. The edges were not repainted (see picture). Evans G1 coated heads are mounted on all drum batter sides, Evans clear resonant heads on the tom bottoms. The snare has an Aquarian Snare Resonant head on the bottom with Pure Sound Wires. The drum set includes Galaxy padded bags. For sale only in the lower 48 states.
