Vintage 1970s Super Nice Slingerland Sparkling Silver Drum Set! All original great sounding Slingerland Drums! 1970s era sparkling silver Slingerlands set! These are some of the prettiest drums you will ever see, just great sounding and great looking 1970s sparkling silver Slingerlands from the time when they made some of the all time best looking and best sounding drums ever made in the USA! There are 5 drums: 8×12 (serial # 194230), 9×13 (# 194297) toms, 14×20 (# 195180) single head bass, 14×14 (#195142) floor tom, and 5 1/2 x 14 (#227915) snare. Also includes original Slingerland flat base snare stand. I have not cleaned these in any way and got them from the original owner. He got all 5 drums as a new Slingerland set around 1975-76. He hardly used them and kept them stored. They are really gorgeous and look super shiny with all the chrome and silver wrap in really great shape. They sound great, that big fat rock and roll 1970s Slingerland drums sound, nothing better! The bass drum is really punchy and is interesting it is single sided with a chrome outer hoop on the outside front edge and a kind of silver crinkly covering on the inside of the bass drum shell. This is the way bass the drum was made originally. A little of the crinkly silver stuff has worn off on the bottom of the bass drum and at the seam. There is a thin crack on the inside of the shell of the 8×12 tom as shown in the last pics. It goes around about 1/3 of the inside of the shell but the drum still sounds really great. The sparkling silver wrap on the drums is tight and in just really really great shape, just beautiful. Overall these drums are just breathtaking to look at.
