Ludwig Silver Sparkle 3-pc. Drum set includes 22″ bass, 16″ floor tom and 13 mounted tom. The set is in great condition with normal signs of wear and has all original parts, except for replacement heads on the toms. I used these drums throughout my school and college years in the 1960s and 70s. Since then they have been stored in their soft cases, in the dry climates of Arizona and Colorado. As a result, they are free from rust and corrosion. Condition Take a look through the photos with this listing to view condition. The laminate surfaces are intact. As with many sparkle sets of this vintage, the silver sparkle has a light fading/patina and I have included photos in both daylight and stage lighting for your review. Inside the bass and along its outer edge are a couple areas where the enamel paint has peeled but the underlying mahogany is in good shape and can be touched up. On the inside hoop of the bass drum (where the pedal clamp attaches) the wood has been scarred as one might expect. This set includes the three drums, soft cases and drum keys. After 50 years in all kinds of bands and all kinds of music, this good old set needs a new drummer for the next 50.
