Vintage 1966 Slingerland drum set in beautiful champagne sparkle. Sizes are 20-16-13, the classic 1960s Slingerland Gene Krupa outfit. Great condition, some typical wear due to age, but otherwise nice and clean. No extra holes or modifications anywhere. Wrap is clean and tight. Like many vintage sets that lived through the 1970s, these went through a concert tom phase and lost the bottom hoops and tone controls long before I got them. Some drummers still prefer that 1970s sound, or easy enough to convert them back to two-sided if you must. The bass and floor tom have always been together since 1966. The tom is a few years older, 1962, and a very close match in both wrap color and tone. There is some pitting and minor rust spots on the chrome here and there consolette mount, bass T-rods, etc. , but nothing bad enough to seriously detract from this set’s beauty. The bass spurs and at least one floor tom leg are not original, but they are all functional and can also be easily replaced. The rim on the tom has a minor dent, but it is also still solid and functional. In other words, t. His is a very nice player-grade set with potential to be detailed further if you wish. A picky collector will find minor flaws and might want to swap some of the parts for something with a bit less wear. But other than that, these drums.
