11 piece Tama Superstar 1982 Vintage Drumset & Hardware CYMBALS NOT INCLUDED! For sale is my 1982 Tama Superstar drum kit & hardware. It is in great sounding condition showing some signs of wear considering 40 years old. This has been used to play with Diane Schuur, Ray Charles, Ulele and many other great musicians and bands around the world. It is an absolutely beautifully well maintained birch kit with a bright attack and deep tone response. The toms are outfitted with suspension rims and Remo ambassador smooth white on top and Remo ambassador clear heads on the bottom to breath and ring out loud and clear. The birch shells are in excellent condition and the bearing edges are still true and can be easily tuned high or low. I needed to have two different bass drums in different locations and different size drums to meet all my playing needs. For the last 15 years or so I have only kept it in my smoke free home studio as a solo instrument because of the melodic sizes, it is great for solo work. I have tried to show any blemishes or gig rash. Bass drum#1 has cracks in the finish and the badge has rust on it from years of use, but does not compromise the sound the shell is not cracked or compromised. Bass drum #2 is pristine and in perfect condition as you can see in the photo. The 9″x13″ has gig rash from scraping the 16 floor tom as seen in the photo. The snare drum is pitted and missing the tone control but still sounds solid and loud I believe it broke years ago on the road and I never replaced it.
