Up for sale is an extremely rare, vintage Tama Superstar drum set from the late’70s. This 8 piece set is in Custom Mahogany satin finish and is in excellent condition. It looks as good as it sounds. Heres a chance to own a piece of drum history these are around 40 years old. They are made of (aged forty years) select and cured rock maple and birch with a warm rich sound and a volume not found in wood drums. The drums have all original parts except for the drum heads. Set of 6 toms 8, 10, 12, 13 14, 15 all with Evans Hydraulic heads. These drums are finished on the inside and outside and look absolutely stunning from the audience! They can be tuned tight for a full melodic warm tone or loosened a little for that punch and fat sound. Mix or use them all for any genre of music! Evans Hydraulic clear heads are in great shape! 14 x 24 with original spurs, hoops, and tom mount. The original front head that came with it as well as the mirror head shown is included. Batter head is a Remo Black Dot. Deep full fat sound! 16 x 16 with original legs. The top head is a Ludwig silver dot that produces a thunderous sound. There is no head on the bottom with a spacer and rim mounted (for a finished look) to match the tonal qualities of the other toms. You can put a head on the bottom if you want. Included are 2 Titan tom stands and 2 Titan boom cymbal stands that originally came with the set. These are in good condition and totally functional. These were Tamas best and are heavy duty! Snare drum, hardware not described above, and the winning lottery ticket, is not included. This quality set is heavy and big! I live in a condo now and can’t play it! Time for a new home.
