This Starclassic is a custom kit handcrafted in Japan. It is violet in color. It has a custom 9-ply snare drum and a custom 11-ply bass drum. The tom toms and floor toms are 6-ply shells, each with custom dimensions listed in the details below. The toms and the snare come equipped with the Star-Cast Mounting System, Die-Cast hoops, and Claw Hooks. The bass drum has a Maple hardwood hoop, Claw Hooks, and Spur Bracket legs. The rack system comes with three cymbal mounts and two additional accessory clamps (currently mounted to the front bar) for mounting more cymbals or aux percussion. All hardware is from 1997, it shows some age, but is still in great shape and in perfect working order. Memory Tom Mounts: A tough steel shock resistant tom mounting system lets toms resonate with zero rattle. It also includes a memory locking system so you can be sure the toms are positioned exactly the same every time you set them up. Key Locking System: tom has a mounting bracket attached to the Star Cast hoop that only fits one way on the memory mount. You simply position the memory mount however you want it and use a drum key to lock it in place. Then slide the tom down flush with the memory mount. Hand tighten the wing nut and you’re ready to play. Floating Snare Stand: The snare drum has a Star Cast hoop and memory locking system as well. The snare drum stand is unique in that it doesn’t have your typical three points of contact with the snare. Instead, it has a single memory mount just like the toms. An extension bar can be adjusted for any size snare drum. There are markings on the bar for 14″ and 13″ snare drums. While I still use an Evans Genre Dry Coated head on my snare and an Evans Clear Batter head on my kick drum, I switched all the toms to Remo Pinstripe heads. All shells are in fabulous condition. There is one tiny scratch on the first floor tom shell. Its unnoticeable when setup and could easily be buffed out. One small knick on the 8 tom. Snare: 14″ x 5.5″. Tom: 8″ x 8″. Tom: 10″ x 9″.
