Up for sale is my beautiful Sonor Designer bop kit. Some of the best sounding drums I have ever had the pleasure of owning. Overall the kit is in great shape. She’s no mint museum piece, but an excellent player’s kit to be sure. Sizes are 18×16 kick, 12×8 tom, and 14×14 floor. Rocket launcher and floor tom legs included. Shells are Maple Light in Red Stain finish. All of the details about the kit are listed below. This truly is an amazing kit and priced to sell quickly! Floor Tom: Shortly after purchasing the kit, I removed the heads and discovered a small crack under one of the leg mounts on the inside of the shell. Fortunately, the crack was not severe. I took it to a local custom drum builder and repair shop and had it mended by a professional. Please see the photos. The shell is in superb shape, perfectly in round, and the bearing edge is absolutely true. Typical Designer floor tom legs. Clear Emperor batter and a brand new Evans Reso 7. High Tom: The only issue to report here is that the knob on the bottom of the TAR mount is missing, see pictures. The rubber gasket is still there. It does not affect the sound or playability of the drum. Outside of that, a couple of minor nicks here and there but nothing major, or unexpected from a drum of this age. Also has a clear emp and a brand new Evans Reso 7. Bass Drum: Nothing to report here, outside of some minor hoop rash and some nicks here and there. Rocket launcher works perfect and the spurs are in perfect shape, including the rubber. No cracking or rubber rot, etc. Remo/Sonor logo head on the reso and a Aquarian Jack Dejohnette signature head on the batter. I will also throw in a ported Remo Fibrskyn reso head. All chrome is in really good shape. A little wear of course, but no pitting, etc. Some of the tune safes have gone missing with age of course. Please reach out if you have additional questions.
