These drums came to us from a gentleman who once owned a music store and was a Pearl dealer. He was approached by his Pearl rep when they were phasing out the MX Series in the late 80s/early 90s and was asked if he wanted to place one last order. The gentleman selected these three drums – an 8×12″ mounted tom, a 14×14″ floor tom, and a 14×18 bass drum – for his personal use and kept them ever since. They were only used in his home and in the recording studio, so they weren’t transported frequently or played in situations where they would have received any significant wear. Other than these minor aesthetic issues, the drums are 100% fully functional with clean bearing edges, tight wrap seams, and many remaining years of high-quality music making! Note: The floor tom was originally mounted on a stand with a standard Pearl tom arm. At some point the mounting bracket was removed, the hole was hidden with an I.
