Scott Rockenfield owned drum set of Queensryche pulled straight from the drum vault of Ron Hurst of Steppenwolf! Pearl Masters Maple 8 Piece Drum Set + Custom Snare Drum. Scott took this set on tour and the set exhibits normal use you would expect from a touring drum set. After the tour, Scott gave this drum set to renowned drummer Ron Hurst of Steppenwolf fame, who has had it ever since and whom we recently acquired it from. Scott autographed all of the drums. Most of the toms on the outside wrap, the floor tom and bass drum on the interior of the shell. The only cosmetic issue to really note is a patch on the 10 tom where a portion of the wrap was scratched off. I took a picture of the damage. Its very minor and didnt damage the exterior wood portion of the shell, just the wrap. Also, the optimount on the 8″ tom is a 10″ optimount so it only attaches to the top batter side portion of the drum. It still functions fine and will hold up, it just doesn’t match up size-wise so the bottom portion is unable to attach to the resonant side. All of the Pearl Masters drums feature Maple reinforcement in the interior shells. All toms feature Pearl Mastercast die-cast hoops. The heads are super fresh and have tons of life left on them if you decide to set these drums up and play them. This is a must-have piece for any die-hard Queensryche fans out there. 8″ x 7″ mounted tom on optimount. 16″ x 16″ floor tom on legs. 22″ x 18″ bass drum with tom arm mounting port. 14″ x 5.5″ snare drum (has a Pearl Master cast die-cast hoop batter hoop and a regular 2.3mm resonant hoop). 14″ x 6.5″ custom made snare drum with spiked lugs.
