1960s Gretsch Drum Kit Red Sparkle. If you’ve been looking for a vintage kit that is clean, in excellent condition with “no holes” and “original wraps, ” and is a real head turner, here is your opportunity. Here are the sizes and info on each drum. Bass drum 20×14 , 6ply shell, Model: 4249, round badge, silver sealer, missing orange paper tag, tone control present, excellent bearing edges, hoops with red sparkle inlays, claw hooks, and chrome hardware. No extra holes; it comes with a Pearl tom mount that attaches to a RIMS tom suspension system. (See photos) Heads are practically new with Gretsch emblem on white coated head. Red sparkle has a few blemishes, but seams are tight. Tom 8 x12 , Model:4415 Ser. 84732, paper tag present, round badge, silver sealer, tone controls present and functioning, has original diamond mounting plate, two fully flanged molded counter hoops, has a white blemish near badge that is on surface of glitter wrap (may be able to buff out), but this is negligible IMO. However, I wanted to point it out. Comes with attached RIM mount. Floor tom 16×16, Model 4418 Ser. 79686, orange paper tag present, round badge, silver sealer, tone controls in great shape, has original legs (the rubber tips will likely need replacing as they are worn), original hardware and wrap is in very good condition, seam is tight, and bearing edges are like new. Snare 14 x 5 1/2, Name Band model 4157 Ser. 43787, orange paper tag (torn) is present, round badge, silver sealer, tone control, Micro-sensitive snare strainer is in fair, but working condition (some repair has been done on it but it operates satisfactorily), original hoops and hardware are in fair to good shape, key holder functions, comes with Gretsch Responso snare wires (20 strand; model 5418). Fairly new heads and amazing sound. This four piece kit comes with hard shell cases. And please look at all the photos. This is an amazing kit of Gretsch drumming history that you will be proud to own. Legs, and two bass drum spurs. Sorry for any confusion.
