Decolite is my custom drum brand using vintage hardware from the traps and swing eras. I aim to make fully giggable drums using the best parts of vintage drum engineering. Each kit is one of a kind. This one is a 3-piece bop-sized kit, 8×12/14×14 and 12×18 cream and gold fade using a lot of nickel Ludwig & Ludwig hardware. All Keller cylinder shells with solid rerings. All vintage solid maple hoops on each drum. 8×12: Ludwig & Ludwig rods, claws and eyelets. Ludwig snare stand in photos is included. 14×14: Ludwig & Ludwig rods, claws and eyelets. Leg brackets are Gladstone-esque, constructed from Walberg & Auge traps eye bolt parts. 12×18: Ludwig & Ludwig rods, claws & eyelets. Hoop clamp spurs are included. Hardware is all nickel plated. Bearing edges are a deep and gentle outer roundover with a 30-degree inner cut. Finish is paint and lacquer. The kit tunes easily and without a drum key. They are super lightweight and a joy to gig with, and they sound great with a wide musical tuning range. As the hardware is vintage it of course has wear as shown. Kit has been played a bit (and a bit more than the photos, which were taken months ago); the hoops have some chipped paint, a few minor scratches are visible on the shells as well here and there.
