1960s Vintage Slingerland 4-Piece Drum Set (Shell Pack). Our Notes: 4-piece Slingerland drum set from the mid to late 1960s with Black and Brass Niles Ill badges and in a “Satin Flame Pearl” finish. 5 1/2 X 14, 8-lug snare drum features Zoomatic strainer and’Stick Saver’ hoops. 14 X 20 bass drum features the Rail Consolette Tom Holder. Tom- toms are 9 X 13 and 16 X 16. The wrap on the snare drum is in very good condition. Wrap on the toms and bass drum is checked and smudged as evident in the photos. Floor tom legs are complete; bass drum spurs are missing feet. Snare drum strainer and butt need screw plates. The Slingerland name is recognized all over the world. The Slingerland shell is molded to a perfect circle and size in one operation. The veneers and inside solid maple reenforcing hoops are glued together at one time. This overcomes the strains on veneers which exists when a shell is made from flat plywood and then bent into a circle. The snare drum features a strong & smooth Zoomatic strainer with’Stick Saver’ hoops. The tom toms feature Rim-Shot hoops which provides strong and even tension. The bass drum features streamlined hooks, tension handles & lugs. It also features the Rail Consolette Tom Holder which tilts in all directions and bolted to the shell. Stick Saver’ snare hoop.
