These drums were way ahead of their time, and were Rogers answer to the Ludwig Super-Sensitive snare drum. Drumming great Nate Smith can often be seen/heard using one these fine instruments. This drum features a chrome-over-brass (COB) shell and is 14-inches in diameter and 5-inches in deep. These snare drums feature a very crisp sound and are perfect for drummers looking to add a very clear, articulate sound to their setup. The Rogers brand is synonymous with quality and durability, making this snare drum a reliable choice for any musician seeking a high-quality instrument with a distinctive sound. This drum is definitely a vintage “player’s drum, ” and shows the signs of a well-played instrument. The chrome is only in fair condition some light rust and pitting on the hoops, light pitting on the lugs and hardware (some lugs have nicks and gouges – please see pics), and the shell chrome shows some light haze. This drum has the original tone control muffler, a new Rogers modern-day snare bridge assembly installed, a Remo Coated Diplomat batter head, and a Remo Hazy Ambassador Snare Side bottom head.
