Sonor SQ2 X-Ray limited edition Thomas Lang. 6 Piece drum set. PLEASE READ WHOLE DESCRIPTION SO YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE GETTING. I can’t even express myself about having to sell this drum set. Unfortunately I’m not using it, and I never did. The heads are brand new (stock) without stick marks, which shows that the kit has never been ever played. Because of it being new and being so extremely rare to come across, I was always hesitant to play it or put any stick marks on it. This set was ordered directly to Sonor. 8 months later I received the kit. This is how rare this kit is. If you want to listen to it, just go to youtoob and listen to the creator of this set play it. SQ2 is Sonor’s flagship model. The hardware, lugs and everything in this set is stunningly heavy duty, strong and amazing. The acrylic is extruded, seamless without stress in the process of manufacturing. It means there is no tension like in the Ludwig Vistalite’s and other cheaper acrylic sets like the new DW design series, which tends to lead to cracks easier. The shells are also really heavy compared to the Vistalite’s. They used amazing quality acrylic, including the bass drum hoops, which I’ve never seen in any other brand. Amazing for Sonor fans, collectors, having the only chance to own the rarest and best looking SQ2 I’ve seen or will see. So here are some things to mention. 1 The set used to be an 8-piece as the first picture shows. No cracks or spiderwebs, just surface scratches. There are a few other minor ones that are just impossible to picture, I posted the only noticeable ones. Also, a few of the SQ2 metalic logos also have hairline cracks as you can see in the pictures. You can leave them like that or order new ones in Sonor’s website. 3 The set is completely “naked”, and I have no time to put it together. You will receive each part separate. The naked shells, the lugs, hoops, heads, everything 100% disassambled. You will need to put it back together which will take a few hours. Because two of the original drums cracked (which I can include if you want them) you will also receive the lugs and hardware for those two drums. So you’ll have extra lugs and rims which you can sell later on or use as spare parts. 4 About 5% of the lugs show small signs of age (no rust, just not 100% shiny). Easy to clean with metal polisher. 95% are perfectly fine and shiny. 14×5 matching snare drum. Hardware included: 6 floor tom legs and all the necessary hardware to mount the set. Look at all the pictures below. Less unique SQ2’s sell for this same price for 3 or 4 pieces. The drums will be professionally packed and they’ll arrive to it’s destination perfectly safe. 8 & 10 TOMS. SCRATCHES really hard to picture.
