Slingerland 8 x 12 Rack Tom (depth x diameter) Sparkling Gold Pearl Wrap, Early 1970’s Niles Era. THE LISTING IS FOR THE DRUM SHELL AND HARDWARE INSTALLED ONLY. NO HOOPS, TENSION RODS OR DRUM HEADS. The Gold Sparkling Pearl Wrap on the shell has a nice appearance with only slight fading from the original gold color. (see pictures 13, 14 and 15 showing the drum shell w/ no hardware installed). The original wrap is tight along the edges and the main vertical seam. A drumhead rests flat and spins smoothly on both top/batter and bottom/resonant sides. BLACK and SILVER BADGE #837xx. (circa early 1970’s) The shell is 3 ply mahogany, poplar, maple w/ maple re-rings. The interior looks very nice and clean for a 50+ years drum shell. There is NO extra holes in drilled in the shell. The Bearing Edges and Re-Rings on both ends are nice and solid. (see pictures 8 thru 12). THE HARDWARE INSTALLED ON THE DRUM SHELL INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING. 1 – 160-6 Set-O-Matic Tom Mount Plate w/ SS2 Key Screw. Very Good Condition with only minor use. The chrome plating finish is very nice and shiny. The Mount Plate slides smoothly on the receiving arm post with no issues. 1 – 1081 internal muffler. Works smoothly and is in good operating condition. 12 – 565 Small Sound King lugs. Each one has been taken apart, cleaned and lubricated w/ clean felts installed. All twelve lugs are in nice clean shape. The chrome plating looks great giving off a nice shine. (see pictures) All threads inside the swivel nuts are in good condition. The mounting screws are in very nice clean condition with good threads. Please examine all the pictures for your consideration and to determine the condition for yourself.
