Bottom snare-side head is original, never changed. Comes with the original Dunnett bag with signature red interior. This has served as my primary instrument of choice for most of the past 6 years. Zero damage or dents to the shell or rims. Natural wear from being used with care in every type of musical assignment. Played and maintained protectively by a full-time professional. I chose never to have polished this drum. The new owner may choose to use a light damp cloth to shine. I would not advise a chemical solvent. This snare drum plays like butter at any tension and in any and all styles of live and studio performance. It is a uniquely sensitive, dynamic, and versatile snare drum. A true player’s drum, made for discriminating and experienced professionals. If you insist, it will also knock your socks off with straight or variations on Boom Bap, Boom-Boom Bap!
