Some pictures are with flash, others aren’t. 700 natural maple wood finish on 6 ply die-mold shells. Even the insides are clear coated per the catalog. Some people call this Thermogloss but I can find no reference to that word in the Ludwig catalogs. It has the P-46 hex nut wrench, and the pre-set lock on the vertical T-post. Bass drum legs are the thick type. Comes with original vulcanized fiber cases and it even has the rare No. 8364 combination case for the two tom toms 8″x12″ and 9″x13″ with the plate that sits in between the two toms(see pic #6). This case was offered in the Ludwig catalogs. This kit also comes with the No. 8565 16″x16″ floor tom case and No. 6991 14″x22″ bass drum case, all in excellent clean condition. One of the many cool things about these nice drums is they have very close serial numbers on the “still pointed” blue olive badges: 1950303, 1950531, 1952439, 1965836. Note: rounded corner b/o badges started in 1979. I can’t find any date stamps inside but those serial numbers date the kit at 1978 per several websites. Condition Notes: The only issue can be seen in picture #12 as there is tom rub on the top of the bass drum. It’s basically hid when the kit is set up in playing view. Bass drum batter side hoop has minor pedal clamp wear. The original Ludwig top tom heads are very used Ludwig Rockers Silver Dot Clear, and the bottom heads are like new Ludwig Rockers Heavy Clear. The bass drum sounds great with the Evans EMAD Batter head, and the front bass drum head is the Ludwig Heavy Clear head with block logo sticker on top. General Terms and Conditions.
