Awesome almost 70 year old Black Diamond Pearl drum set. 12″x22″ bass drum, 5.5×13″ Snare Drum, 8×12″ tom. Tight finish seams, good American chrome, scuffs and wear here and there commensurate with the age of this set. Not “mint”, but very well taken care of and then stored for 30+ years. One calf head on the 8×12 tom. Original era snare side head. Cool “Ludwig” script logo bass drum reso-head. P-87 Classic throw off. Original era snare wires. Chrome hardware on most parts. Nickel plating on tom mount, cowbell clamp mount, bass drum muffler. WFL cowbell mount with original era cowbell. WFL bass drum anti-creep bracket. WFL Bass Drum reso-head felt tone control. One bass drum inlay needs to be stapled back on. Bass Drum claws have “WFL” stamped in them. Appears all hoops are the original chrome over brass hoops. Shells are 3-ply mahogany with reinforcement rings. All are unpainted interiors. Date stamped 1957 with red ink. Fold out spiked bass drum spurs. Rubber crutch tips are there but will need replacing. Typical hoop / pedal rash on the batter side bass drum hoop. A couple of the Bass Drum claws have some chrome that has peeled off. I did some basic cleaning/dusting but there is plenty of room for a more detailed cleaning and polishing. This is a great little gigging kit! Bass drum and tom.
