This is a late 70s or early 80s Gretsch drum set. Sizes are 12×8, 16×16 and 22×14. These are the highly desired Jasper shells. The natural finish has aged to a nice golden color. Drums are in good condition. The 12 and 16 tom have the drop G Stop Sign badges and the bass drum has the square badge. There is some light pitting and wear on the hardware, as can be expected on a kit of this age. Bearing edges are in great condition. I had the bearing edges re-done on the 12 tom due to the originals having high spots. Typical quality issues from the factory around this time period of manufacture. A previous owner had an incorrect RIMS type mount on the 12 tom and the mount rubbed into the finish of the tom. As you know, the Gretsch 12 tom has 5 lugs, as opposed to most other manufacturers that have 6 lugs. As a result, the RIMS band needs to be a little longer. Doesnt affect the sound, its more cosmetic. The correct Gretsch sized RIMS mount is included and covers this damage. All of the drums sound great. The mufflers for the floor tom and the bass drum are included. I had removed the mufflers on the floor tom. The 12 tom never had a muffler installed. There are no extra holes in any of the drums. The 2 holes in the bass drums batter hoop are from a cyclops bass drum anchor that was installed from the factory when the bass drum was made. Unfortunately, I do not have this piece and do not need it. Original tom mount is included. There are some plier marks on the tension screw of the tom mount from a previous owner. They are not bad, but wanted to make you aware. There are some light finish marks on the drums from being used, but not abused. There is a Kelly Shu mic mount in the bass drum that is NOT included in the sale.
