This is 2 complete and perfectly combined Pearl 1975 thru 1979 drum sets. The 1st set is 7 pcs. 5 pieces are 1975 -1979 Maple shelled covered in actual 18 gauge hi shine chromed steel. Yes, they are magnetic. Paired with 2 fiberglass suspended floor toms also wrapped in 18 gauge steel. The second set is a 5 pc. 100% 1975 Pearl wood/fiberglass set wrapped in 18 gauge hi shine chromed steel. It’s a 1983 Pearl Steel Shell that comes with it’s own stand. This is a professional kit. 24 10 lug bass drums. This is not some lower tier Pearl like export or any of the many tiers they sell today. This is a road warrior and the real deal. They don’t build them like this anymore and this set is so complete that you are only limited by your imagination on how to utilize all of these drums. I have posted photos of just a few of the configurations that I have used over the years and there are many more. They are 43 years old and they have been toured with and moved and are not brand new. They have light surface scratches and dings (really only visible on close inspection) and are not factory new but I took them out of commission 6 months ago, stripped them down to the shells, hand cleaned and buffed every piece (including the lugs) to make it as perfect as a 43 year old drum set with all the miles I gave it could be. I reheaded every drum with the finest heads available (Evans Hydraulic) in the clear red. For the resonant heads, I tried to keep every original head that came with the set to stay “true to the original” sound. This kit is a true masterpiece of craftsmanship. They are heavy and built to last. They look almost as good as they sound. While in the process of refurbishing them I was very unhappy with the look of my work horse. The 24 10 lug Maple bass drum. It had taken the bulk of the abuse over the years. So I had it reshelled. Hi shine stainless steel in a perfect match without a scratch to be seen. I have every size available from Pearl in this or any time period. All in hi shine chrome steel perfectly matched and. The sizes of the heads are as follows… 6″, 8″, 10″, 12″, 13″14″, 15″, 16″suspended toms and 16 and 18 floor toms. Both bass drums are 24″ heads and 16 1/2″ deep (10 lug). If you stack the drums on top of each other you need a 14 ft. This set is as big as a car and plays thunderously. You will never find a deal like this again in your life. Remember, once you own them you can use whatever you need in any combination. This is the most rocking vintage set of drums on the market. If you would like, I will include the original tom arm assembly from the 1975 wood/fiberglass set (now useless) as proof of their authenticity. Pearl changed to the standard 7/8 pipe type tom arms in 1978 and I retrofit my 1975 kit at that time. You will not be disappointed with this drum set. You will love it as much as I have.
