THIS IS A VERY RARE KIT FOR 4 REASONS : IT IS IN THE VERY RARE NATURAL MAPLE FINISH + THE VERY RARE 18″ BASS DRUM + THE FREE-STANDING 14″ FLOOR TOM + THE RACK IS THE RIGHT SIZE 12X8. THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL YAMAHA KIT – NOT, ANYWAY, WITH THE THINNER SHELLS THEY MANUFACTURED LATER IN THE 1990’S AND BEYOND. EACH DRUM IS SOLID, WEIGHING SUBSTANTIALLY MORE. THIS IS A pre-YESS KIT + MOST DRUMMERS PREFER THESE MOUNTS OVER YESS MOUNTS. THE FLOOR TOM IS ALSO FREE STANDING INSTEAD OF STAND MOUNTED WHICH FROM EXPERIENCE PLAYING YAMAHA KITS OVER THE YEARS IS AN ABSOLUTE +. THE KIT IS GORGEOUS. THE SHELLS ARE IN VERY FINE CONDITION WITH SCANT NICKS OR MARKS. ABOUT THE ONLY THING I NOTICED WITH THEM IS THE GHOST OF WHERE STICKS SAT ON TOP OF THE BASS (BARELY CAN TELL; THE LIGHT HIT IT + THAT’S HOW I KNOW); + WHERE THE BASS PEDAL ATTACHES TO THE BASS HAS THE OBVIOUS WEAR FROM CLAMPING DOWN ON IT; + SOME OF THE GOLD LUGS SHOW LIGHT TARNISH WHICH I BELIEVE NOT UNCOMMON. OTHERWISE, THIS WILL BE A FANTASTIC KIT FOR THE NEW OWNER. KIT IS AVAILABLE LOCALLY ON CRAIGSLIST – IF IT SELLS THERE LISTING WILL BE ENDED.
