Hello, this is an amazing sounding drumset with looks as well. The shells are a birch mix. These came out of my studio where they were used for many recordings only- no gigs. They have a few small battle scars but nothing extreme. Newer heads on the bass drum and toms and original heads on the bottoms of the 2 ride toms! They can be tuned high or low with great results. The floor tom legs have rubber isolators so the drum sounds huge! I promise you’ll love these as much as I did!
