40s Ludwig and Ludwig drum set from 47 in White Marine Pearl. Generals: This is a 40s Ludwig and Ludwig (Elkhart Era) drum set in White Marine Pearl. The set is in absolutely fantastic condition, no extra holes, missing hardware, or anything like that. All parts are functional. 26,13, and 14 snare are matching from factory with white interiors and have the dates of 47, the floor Tom (16) was added to this set and has a build date of 40 without the white interior and does have a different badge. All have aged very similarly, pics dont do them justice all the way since the light hits differently on each, but they all look almost exactly the same in person. All wraps are in great condition with NO cracks or missing pieces, Seams are all tight. All bearing edges and re-rings are in great shape as well. Specifics on each drum below. More pics available, Id love to show you how nice this is. Not wanting to part. Great condition all around. Everything is functional and throw off is smooth. Extended length wires for full head contact. Hardware looks great except tension rods, they are ugly but work fine. One of them has been replaced. Great edges and interior as well! This is a gem. Id give it 8.5/10, borderline museum piece. Bass Drum: Size 26×14. 2 bass drum spikes/claws included that arent pictured, they are not original but they clip on to the hoop and work fine. Hoops are decent, but have tape residue on a few places. There is a small warp in front of the badge and then some slight warping on each side all around of the bass drum hoops. Im imagining someone tightened them. Too much over the years and left them that way. You can see in the pics its very hard to tell. Original lugs, rods, claws, etc. Original Calfskin heads front and back. Wrap is in fantastic shape, some slight normal rusting on claws and rods but this is a 8/10 drum to me. New Evans Calftone head on batter side. Badge in great shape. I believe all hardware to be original, but maybe a clip or 2 has been replaced. Mount attached but currently rests on a stand. Not sure if some of the hardware is original or replaced because it is super shiny. But all functional and looks great. Different badge than the others as well as no paint on the interior. Build date of 6-40. New Evans Calftone head on batter. Both mufflers are in place and functional, but the top one is missing the felt (easy replacement).
