This patented Free Floating System allows the shell to fully resonate, without any lugs mounted to the shell, so the drum heads are the only things making contact with the brass drum shell. This extra-deep snare really pops, and can cut through the loudest volumes when needed. There is some cosmetic spotting or pantena on about one-third of the outside of the brass shell, but this is typical of a vintage drum of this type, and it does not affect the sound or playing of this great-sounding snare drum.
