This set of drums are Treehouse Drums answer to the “Russian Doll” idea that allows each drum (except the 8″ tom) to be nested inside of the next bigger drum so that the 10″ tom, 14″ tom and snare all fit inside the 18″ bass drum. This means you have a much smaller number of items to carry in and out of gig venues. This kit was custom made for me (and they are made by hand) two years ago but I no longer have a need for it. The drums are made of various plies of North American Maple with different bearing edges to provide the best sound/tone possible with these drums. The 8 & 10 mounted tom has sharp bearing edges with a thicker shell for more. Cut and projection while the 14 floor tom has rounded bearing edges dressing a thinner shell to bring out the low-end. The bass’s rounded bearing edges for bigger boom and the snare’s double 45 edges for clarity round out the. Tone of these drums to let them really sing! I originally bought this as a 4-piece kit (10″, 14″ toms, snare and Bass drum) and then added the 8 tom, so you have options to use a 4 or 5 piece kit (see photos). The kit is finished in a Blue Stain finish, with the builders name. (Derrek Sharp) hand written inside each drum. 7×8 10-ply Mounted Tom. 7×10 10-Ply Mounted Tom. 10×14 6-Ply Floor Tom. 16×18 8-Ply Bass Drum. 4½x14 6-Ply Snare Drum. Bass drum riser. 1 Pearl tom arm for mounting snare drum. Yamaha bass drum double tom mount (for 5 piece kit setup). Two (2) Arms for mounting 8″ and 10″ tom, doubles as cowbell holder. Three (3) Floor Tom Legs. Two cymbal holders. NOTE: The cowbell is NOT included. This kit has been used on only two gigs and has been sat unused in my basement.
