I custom built (Frankensteined) this 14 x 5.5 inch snare drum from a 1950’s Rogers Newport Parade Drum (see badge photo). It was originally 14 x 10. The hardware is from a 1990’s Mapex snare – I like the classic styling. I have fitted it with a Remo Renaissance snare side head and a BRAND NEW Kangaroo Hyde drumhead made by Kentville drums in Australia. These natural hyde heads are top of the line and sound beautiful with the natural resonance of the Jasper shell. Please inspect the photos carefully for information regarding condition. Condition Notes: This drum has its ORIGINAL FINISH- meaning it has many surface flaws. All wear is cosmetic – the drums structure is SOLID. Note that there are three extraneous holes in the shell from the drums former life as a a parade drum. These have been filled with putty and do not impact the drums sound. All three ate visible in the photos. THIS ITEM IS AS IT IS. It’s VINTAGE, and Frankensteined. It is ONE OF A KIND. Ideal for Country, Jazz or Orchestral applications, but may be suitable for players interested in musicality and nuance.

All parts present and functional. Mounting hardware is included. One small crack in the wrap on the 12 tom by the internal muffler knowb. Some minor scuffs and scratches but overall in good shape. Sizes for this set are 12×8, 13×9, 16×16, 22×14.

Mid’70s Sonor D454 5 x 14 Ferro-manganese snare drum. 8 lugs, steel shell, slotted tension rods (missing one). Muffler knob works, but it’s missing the felt pad. Ok, as found condition. Could really use a cleanup / restoration.

This is a cool collection of 3-ply vintage shells with reinforcement rings, perhaps from different eras, but all stripped and refinished in natural to fit together. Sizes are 22×14, 13×9, 16×16. Drums only; stands/mounts not included. The bass drum is a WFL and looks to be a’converted’ mahogany marching bass drum. It features nickel plated center lugs, chrome claws, and clamp-on spurs. A P1610D tom mount bracket is installed, though the thumb screw appears to be loose, so it may need to be replaced. The hoops are both black painted wood but have mismatched contours; one rounded, one squared. The tom is a Ludwig with a Keystone badge, no serial, with a white interior. It has a working muffler and a vintage diamond plate installed. The floor tom is a Ludwig with a Keystone badge, serial 77233, with a white interior. It has a working muffler on top and holes for a missing muffler on bottom, and it has two slightly different style of short legs and brackets, but all fully functional. There are small nicks, chips, stains, and various amounts of rust throughout, and the finishes aren’t an exact match, but they still look great together, especially with all that nicely aged nickel hardware. It’s no museum piece, but MAN this thing is fun to play (even with the beat up heads). It has a fantastic, boomy, kinda-sorta-Bonham vibe, and would likely be made even better with fresh heads!

Great condition for age, no cracks or bending, tuning action is smooth, 70s era full chrome finish. Comes with all hardware such as brackets, mounts, and stands. All original remo hardware. 16″ and 12″ size.

Got this in a big drum haul. I took it apart to clean it up some and discovered that when putting on a new bottom head that the shell is a little out of round. At least on the bottom side. Putting a head on the top was much easier. A few tension rods are not original as are the snare wires. Chrome has minor scratches.
