Slingerland Drums in Bonham sizes, 26″X14″ bass drum, 14″X10″ tom, 16″X16″‘ & 18″X16″ floor toms. The bass drum has a chrome finish. The finish is in good condition with marks and tom rash but it remains very shiny. This is real chrome not the chrome covered plastic of today. The bass drum is 3 ply maple with reinforcement rings. The three toms are 5 ply M shells so the outside finish is mahogany. The finish is red gloss. The finish is cut away where the drum heads meet but you cannot notice it when the heads and rims are on. I do not know why Slingerland used to wrap “M” shells as they are larger in diameter than full maple shells so you had to cut the plastic back. There are some cracks in the wrap but not bad. For the most part the finish is shiny with some marks and tom rash on the 14. The previous owner replaced the original tom mount with a nice Pearl tom mount. I liked it because it was more sturdy because the tom is heavy. The toms show a thin band of dried glue at the seam but the seam is tight. The chrome on these drums is in very good to excellent condition for drums this age. Take a look at the pictures. The lugs and rims shine. The sound of these drums is amazing. If you want a big drum sound like John Bonham you need big drums. This is for drums only. The stand is not included but I will add a tom arm.
