Please read the entire description. For sale is a very cool and fairly rare Chrome wrap over solid white vistalite shells in the Big Beat Configuration. The 16″ and 22″ seams were repaired with #16 weldon acrylic adhesive glue/epoxy. The following are descriptions of each drum. 8″x 12″ Tom is in nice shape, pointy B/O badge, round knob tone control muffler, hoops have some light rust, scratches and oxidation. The wrap is in very good shape with less than expected wear, bearing edges and seam are good. Not all tension rods may be original. 9″x 13″ Tom is in nice shape, pointy B/O badge, round knob tone control muffler, hoops have some light rust, scratches and oxidation. 16″x 16″ Floor Tom. B/O pointy badge, round knob tone control muffler needs some work (bent tension screw). Seam was repaired as stated above and there was some damage done to the top of the seam which was resurfaced with acrylic filler (see pictures). The rest of the bearing edges are good, the drum is slightly out of round but does tune up well. The wrap seam was also reglued and the wrap has some light wear to it in the form of scratches and marks but is overall in good condition. Floor tom legs have some wear. Chrome overall has some light rust, scratching and oxidation. 14″x 22″ Bass Drum. B/O pointy badge, silver inlay on hoops (hoops need repainting if desired). One wood hoop is out of round but does go on and tunes up. Seam was repaired and chrome wrap on seam was reglued. The chrome is in very good shape overall with some expected wear (scratches/oxidation). Thin curved bass drum spurs with Ludwig double tom mount. The wrap has some marks and scratches (see pictures) Please look at the pictures as they are part of the description and ask any questions you may have and we will do our best to answer them. DW Collectors Series 9-piece Drum Set – Includes Edge Snare and Unique Gong Drum! I’ve recently gone to a smaller drum set and need to find a good home for this beautiful custom DW drum kit! It has a different badge and DW True Hoops and is slightly darker in color, but the shell was pitch-matched to the kit by DW in the factory so it blends with the kit perfectly. These drums have been taken out for a few shows and recording sessions (well-protected in hard shell cases), but have spent most of their time in my smoke-free home studio. There are no flaws other than minor wear, but then this finish is known to be practically indestructible! Rack toms: 7×8, 8×10, 9×12, 10×14. Floor toms: 13×13, 16×16. Bass drum: 18×20 – with an Evans EMAD system. Snare drum: 7×13 Edge Series – brass/maple shell. This sale is for the drums only; no stands or cases are included. This is an 8×12, 14×14, 14×18 prototype kit for the Classic Series with cherry/poplar/cherry shells rather than the standard maple/poplar/maple, vintage WMP. The Classic Series shells replicate the 40s era Radio King drums and were in fact modeled after an old original kit, right down to the wide reinforcement rings. The cherry/poplar/cherry idea was something that DW had considered and this set is an early prototype. In addition, we have a standard 5.5×14 Classic Series shell snare drum, but, this is a special drum ordered by me and is actually a True Sonic. DW has not offered the True Sonic snare drum in wood, but I asked for this drum to be made to go with this kit. The True Sonic utilizes a snare frame similar to what Rogers used on their Dynasonic snare drums. Very cool and unique kit. I have had the kit since new and it has never been used other than for testing of the shells. See this item on our website!
