Snare is missing 2 lug attachments and snare wires and has a number scratched into it but is in otherwise nice used condition. Floor tom is in good condition. Bass drum strip on drumheads are coming up a little may need taken off and reglued. Bass is a bit dirty and scratches and scuffs but should clean up some. Flaking of the chrome on the inside of the rim at the bottom. Tom drums are in good used condition. These measure 13×8 toms, 16×16 floor tom, 14×4.5 snare, 20×14 or 14.5 bass. Comes with only what is seen in pictures. It has one piece of hardware but missing the cross bar part. Please see all pictures for condition. I have additional pictures upon request.

Here’s a beautiful Western Germany Sonor kit! This 100% beech drumset sounds and looks amazing for its age. The satin flame finish, being among the most delicate finishes out there, does show even scratching around the shells, and is lifting in a couple places on the 12 tom. 2 steps back, however, and the majority of the imperfections fade away in the sea of satin flame. The floor tom has an unoriginal bottom hoop, and features a sonor leg from the 70’s. Excellent heads are currently on the drums, and the bearing edges are in great, never redone shape. All lugs are secure, and every tension screw threads as it should. Includes tom holder, bass drum spurs, and floor tom legs. Don’t let this deal pass you by! Vintage 1960s Sonor Teardrop 4-Pc. Check out this fantastic 4-piece set of vintage 1960s Sonor Teardrops! Featuring beech construction, original nameplates, super-cool Kristal wrapped finish, and no signs of extra drilled holes or exposure to moisture, these drums are fully functional and ready to play right out of the box! That said, expect to find typical age-appropriate wear on all drums, including light surface scuffs and scratches, a bit of dust here and there, and a few fingerprints. Included are a 4.5×14″ snare drum, 8×13″ mounted tom with tom arm, 16×16″ floor tom with legs, and a rare 14×22″ bass drum. Additionally, we’re throwing in a period-correct Sonor snare stand, bass drum pedal, and partial hi-hat stand. Details about each individual item are as follows. 4.5×14 Snare Drum – Interior and bearing edges are very clean. Original hoops, lugs, tension rods, internal muffler, strainer, butt, and wires. Snare cord and heads are not original and have been replaced over the years. Note that the strainer cap is missing. 8×13 Mounted Tom – Interior and bearing edges are very clean. Original hoops, lugs, tension rods, internal muffler, mounting bracket (thumb screw has been replaced with a standard tension rod), and Sonor tom arm (looks like the angle-adjusting bolt on the tom arm may have been replaced). Heads are not original and have been replaced over the years. 16×16 Floor Tom – Interior and bearing edges are very clean. Original hoops, lugs, tension rods, internal muffler, legs with rubber feet, and leg mounting brackets (two of the thumb screws on the brackets have been replaced with standard wing nuts). 14×22 Bass Drum – Interior and bearing edges are very clean. Re-rings are present on bass drum. Wrap is mostly secure, but there are a couple loose/warped areas at the seams, as well as a small crack at one of the seams (see pics). Note the two darker, discolored areas on the wrap (see pics). These areas are not sticky, scratched, etc. And we’re not sure what might have caused them to appear. Original hoops with inlays, lugs, claws, T-rods, internal muffler, and spurs. Cymbal arm bracket is also original, but its thumb screw has been replaced by a standard tension rod. Includes period-correct Sonor logo head (we’re not sure if it’s original) and a replaced batter head. Note that the hoop inlays are a bit loose and separating in a couple of places (see pics). Snare Stand – Sonor Teardrop era stand in functioning condition. Appears to be missing a set screw near the base of the basket, and possibly another at the base of the tripod. Bass Drum Pedal – Sonor period-correct bass drum pedal in good, functioning condition. Partial Hi-Hat Stand – Tripod base and pedal only. Upper tube, seat, and clutch are not included. This hi-hat stand shows more wear and corrosion than any of the other pieces and is not functional as-is. It will take a bit of work and some replacement parts to get it up-and-running. And remember, this vintage Sonor drumset ships FREE within the continental United States. Buyers outside the continental U. 4.5×14 Snare Drum. 8×13 Mounted Tom with Tom Arm. 16×16 Floor Tom with Legs. This item is used. Used means we acquired the item after it had been previously owned and used for some length of time. The condition of used items varies greatly. APPEARANCE How does it look? Some type of severe cosmetic damage. Cosmetic issues that may require cleaning or repair. Normal signs of age-appropriate wear and tear. Vintage 1960’s Sonor Drum Set Teardrop Project Shell Pack 13, 16, 22, 14sn. The 8 x 13″ (depth x diameter) Tom actually measures in a little undersized at 7 5/8″x 12 5/8. There are quite a few cosmetic blemishes. There is a crack in the finish near the mounting bracket. The shell is in good condition, the bearing edges are near perfect. This drum has a natural interior with re-rings. The 14 x 16″ (depth x diameter) Floor Tom measures in at 14 1/2″x 15 3/4. The wrap seems to becoming loose at the seam, but the wrap is still tight. The shell and bearing edges are in great condition. This drum has a natural interior, no re-rings. The 5 x 14″ (depth x diameter) Snare Drum measures in at 5 x 13 3/4″. The resonant side of the shell seems to have warped pretty badly. The batter side bearing edge is in good condition. Natural interior, no re-rings. The 14 x 22″ (depth x diameter) Bass Drum measures in at 13 3/4 x 21 7/8″. There are 3 cracks in the finish, one to the right of the cymbal mount bracket and to the left of Sonor Logo Badge, one crack to the left of the first. There is one more crack on the resonant side of the drum to the right of Tom mounting bracket. Painted white interior with re-rings, bearing edges are in good condition. Overall in good condition for a project drum kit. Read about each drum above. The bass drum hoops are in good condition, the inlay on one of the hoops is going to need re-glued at some point. Heads fit these drums just fine, but are a little loose, with heads they will work well. Please see pictures for details. We believe that photos are important. There is no replacement for seeing them in person, but photos can do (a lot) of the job. If there is something that you would like more detailed photos of please let us know.
