Slingerland Bass Drum Shell 14 x 20 (depth x diameter) Black Diamond Pearl Wrap “Good Condition”. The shell is made of Mahogany, Poplar and Maple Plies with Maple Re-Rings. Silver and Black Badge #122xxx put the manufacturing early to mid 70’s. The wrap is very good condition with nice shine, tight to the edges and seem with only minor patina. The bearing edges are decent, the batter (pedal) side a little nicer than the front end. (see pictures 16 and 17). There are some fine ply splits inside the shell along the re-ring areas. A sealer has been applied to them to prevent any further development. (see pictures 7, 8, 9 & 10). The shell is drilled for 16 Sound King Bass Drum Lugs, mounting holes (2 1/4 c/c), 1 pair of 727 Bass Drum Spur Brackets and a Set-O-Matic 150-5 Bass Drum Plate. This is a nice vintage “player’s grade” bass drum shell ideal for a practice and gigging drum kit. Please examine all the pictures for your consideration and to determine the condition for yourself.
