This is a Tama SLP vintage hammered steel snare in excellent condition. It is used a little on the top head but very little. These snares are outstanding in any musical situation, you can find a video on YouTube, they aren’t your typical steel snare.

Circa 1980’Thunder Snare Drum. I’ve had this snare drum for a long time. It’s a really good snare drum, and I’ve enjoyed playing it from time to time. Well, that’s changing. I’ve got to clear out some of the drums and percussioin I’ve been collecting for years. I examined the “Thunder” snare drum, realizing I hadn’t played it for some time, and noticed that it was made in Taiwan. Wouldn’t know that, I thought, by how well it’s held up over the years. No rust, no pitting, not a hint of its age. And such a good sounding snare drum. It struck me as strange that I had paired it with a classic Ludwig kit. It is in barely used condition, all original. The chrome shines beautifully.

This started out life as a Tama 6 x 14 “Spartan” snare drum from their Warlord series. They originally featured gothic style black nickel hardware with Swarovski crystals embedded in the lugs. They tended to self-destruct. The former owner tried to “fix” them with glue to no avail. They have been replaced with tube lugs. There is still some glue residue that could be cleaned off if you wish. Some cosmetic wear, but the shell is in round with good bearing edges and it sounds great! These drums are interesting because they have unusually wide/rolled over and soldered flanges at the bearing edge which are reminiscent of the 20’s Ludwig 2pc drums except this is a one piece steel shell without a center bead instead of the conventional brass. Not a museum piece, but way cheaper than any other you’ll find!

Vintage set of 3 Tama Timbales 6″, 8″ and 10. Minimal stick marks on the 8″ and 10″ timbales heads and minimal marks on the shells.. Looks very nice for their age. Minimal play on them.. The timbal 6 has more marks on the head and a small cut on it on top of the shell edge, as seen on pictures, but nothing that will continue to grow, still lots of life on the drum head.. The logos are the same on the 8″ and 10″ and different on the 6, but all 3 timbales are Tama’s.. This is a set of vintage TAMA Mini Timbales made of chrome steel. The set includes three pieces with sizes of 6″, 8″, and 10. These Mini Timbales are described to be in excellent condition, making them a desirable option for musicians looking to add unique percussion sounds to their setup. Tama Imperialstar King Beat snare drum from 1980’s. With Parallel Strainer snare system. In very clean conditions with pitting and scratches on the shell and die cast hoops. Please note that there is one of the lugs hardware that is just attached from the top and bottom lugs, it is not attached to the shell, this is not affecting the functionality of the snare but I just want to be honest and clear with you.. The pitting is all over the snare, please be aware, and hard to spot from a medium distance, you will need to be very close to the snare to be able to see the pitting. It is a very clean snare example from a parallel snare system King Beat. It sound very nice, the top head is a Remo power stroke P77 coated. Almost new barely played.
