Ayotte Professional Maple DS Drum Set, 4 Piece, 22, 10,12,16, dark Blue natural Stain. I’m an Ayotte fan and have owned and recorded with this kit for over twenty years. And like any exceptional instrument, I believe they should be played vs stored. I have barely played them for the last decade as I’ve been playing other sets. Time for someone else to enhance app to this beautiful sounding drum set! A brief description is below. This Ayotte 4 Piece Maple Drum Shell Pack creates a warm sound that only this Canadian sugar maple can produce. There’s a reason Ray Ayotte chose this particular wood to work with. The tuning system is one of the best for fine tuning. The drum spurs are iconic! The natural maple hoops on the bass drum really stand out against that dark blue stain. The grain of the maple is visible through the stain as well. The kit has signs of play and scuffs and scratches as one would expect. Some surface wear on a bit of the rims. The drums have been stored in a dry, smoke free home. The pack includes a 22″ kick drum, 10″ rack tom, 12″ rack tom, a 16″ floor tom (suspended). Note that the 10 Tom is a drum smith model in the same finish, only difference is the rack mount has a black bracket instead of chrome. Per the pictures, it comes with 3 of the original Ayotte tom hardware mounts. Note that all 3 toms are suspended which allows the Tom tones to really sing.
