1960s Slingerland Red Drum Set 12 13 16 22 w Ludwig Throne Hardware. Vintage Slingerland drum set in red wrap finish with matching period hardware. Includes 12″ tom, 13″ tom, 16″ floor tom, and 22″ bass drum, along with vintage Slingerland hardware and a Ludwig drum throne. The drums feature the classic Slingerland oval badges and chrome hardware, dating them to approximately the 1960s to early 1970s. The 12/13/16/22 setup is a classic rock configuration from the era. Vintage Slingerland bass drum pedal. Vintage Slingerland hi-hat stand. Two vintage cymbal stands. Additional mounting hardware shown in the photos. The drums and hardware have only been lightly wiped down and have not been heavily cleaned or polished. Chrome hardware still shows oxidation, pitting, and age, but should improve further with careful polishing if desired. I left them as found so the next owner can decide how far to restore them. The toms are missing their bottom hoops/rims and lower tension rods. Heads are older and may need replacement. Condition is good overall for a vintage set with scratches, scuffs, and wear to the red wrap and chrome hardware from decades of use. The red finish still has great color and presence, like a fire engine that spent fifty years parked backstage at a roller rink. Mounted Toms: 12″ and 13″. A great vintage project set with mostly matching period Slingerland hardware. Hard to find as a group and ready for restoration, display, or to bring back to life under stage lights once again. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition, sizes, and what is included.

Very Cool vintage Niles era Slingerland drum kit in red sparkle. Sizes are 14×20, 9×13 and 16×16. All drums have beautiful chrome and are all original except for heads and maybe a few tension rods. All have the chocolate milk interior. Overall both these drums are in excellent condition with just some minor scratches expected for their age. The bass drum Has a fairly small repair to the wrap on the area next to the badge. This was professionally repaired and is not noticeable from a few feet away. Looks a little more prominent in the pics than it actually is. The setomatic tom mount has some chrome loss on the post. Batter head appears to be original. Heads on this kit are older and I assume the new owner would prefer to festoon the kit with the skins of their liking. Other than the wrap repair on the bass drum this kit is in excellent condition overall. They look and sound great.

Slingerland Gene Krupa Sound King Chrome over Brass snare drum, 14 x 5 eight lugs. In great shape with original hardware, no scratches, dings or pitting. Has a new Remo Ambassador batter head and an original Slingerland snare side head that’s in very nice and usable shape. Has the original internal muffler and stick saver rims plus a Canapus 14 x 20 snare wire. It sounds great too, full and cutting but with the mellowness of brass. This drum would work well in a variety of genres like Jazz, Rock, Funk, Blues or any genre that calls for the distinctive sound of vintage brass. Made in Niles Illinois so it’s a product of true American craftsmanship.

1960s Slingerland Gene Krupa model chrome over brass snare drum. 14″x5″ 8 lug drum with Zoomatic Strainer. The chrome work is exceptional Condition for a drum of this age. Super clean along with stick chopper hoops. One panel on shell has a tiny dent.. Only seen if drum is held to light. Snare sounds great and is a very versatile drum.

Beautiful vintage 6.5 snare. Will be 80 this year, not playing like I used to. Excellent condition, all original parts except top rim, heads and snare wires. Replaced top rim with free/promotional British “Worldmax”. Original rim had pits, will send with drum if wanted. 3 small dents, one above ID tag and 2 next to and below the throw out. Also a small scratch and a scrape on panel left of ID tag. Look at pictures – hard to spot.

Got this in a big drum haul. I took it apart to clean it up some and discovered that when putting on a new bottom head that the shell is a little out of round. At least on the bottom side. Putting a head on the top was much easier. A few tension rods are not original as are the snare wires. Chrome has minor scratches.
