Slingerland Gene Krupa Sound King Chrome over Brass snare drum, 14 x 5 eight lugs. In great shape with original hardware, no scratches, dings or pitting. Has a new Remo Ambassador batter head and an original Slingerland snare side head that’s in very nice and usable shape. Has the original internal muffler and stick saver rims plus a Canapus 14 x 20 snare wire. It sounds great too, full and cutting but with the mellowness of brass. This drum would work well in a variety of genres like Jazz, Rock, Funk, Blues or any genre that calls for the distinctive sound of vintage brass. Made in Niles Illinois so it’s a product of true American craftsmanship.

1960s Slingerland Gene Krupa model chrome over brass snare drum. 14″x5″ 8 lug drum with Zoomatic Strainer. The chrome work is exceptional Condition for a drum of this age. Super clean along with stick chopper hoops. One panel on shell has a tiny dent.. Only seen if drum is held to light. Snare sounds great and is a very versatile drum.

Beautiful vintage 6.5 snare. Will be 80 this year, not playing like I used to. Excellent condition, all original parts except top rim, heads and snare wires. Replaced top rim with free/promotional British “Worldmax”. Original rim had pits, will send with drum if wanted. 3 small dents, one above ID tag and 2 next to and below the throw out. Also a small scratch and a scrape on panel left of ID tag. Look at pictures – hard to spot.

Pre/owned: 1960s Slingerland drums champagne sparkle 3 piece mahogany set. Floor tom 16″x 16″. Rack tom 13″x 9″. The Black and Gold badge kick and floor serial # are 249906, 249907?? and rack is 249918, its a very close family?? . Inside each mahogany drum the letter P is stamped. The wrap is in really great condition and the seams on all drums are nice and tight seen in photo. Rack tom ;there is just two light scratches very hard to see on the rack tom pointed to. Stick saver rims are CON (chrome over nickel) nice thick heavy rim on top and steel bottom. Almost new remo ambassador on bottom and ok remo coated ambassador on top. KICK Drum: the two kick spurs are the same style but different lenghs and there are (5)T-rods missing from the kick drum seen in photos. And one inside screw for the a lug mount is missing see photo. There is some seperation on the reenforcement ring seen in photo. Has new remo powerstroke3 coated head on back and the original slingerland on front. Floor tom ; stick saver CON on top but the steel bottom hoop may be replacement and some of the lugs also. Has new remo ambassador batter on bottom, like new remo coated emperor on top. Double tom mount; has the white ball and is in great condition/ holds tight! Hieght adjustment pole has memory lock. There are 5 kick drum claws shown included but its missing he 5 T-rods. Got this in a big drum haul. I took it apart to clean it up some and discovered that when putting on a new bottom head that the shell is a little out of round. At least on the bottom side. Putting a head on the top was much easier. A few tension rods are not original as are the snare wires. Chrome has minor scratches.

Slingerland 8 x 12 Rack Tom (depth x diameter) Sparkling Gold Pearl Wrap, Early 1970’s Niles Era. THE LISTING IS FOR THE DRUM SHELL AND HARDWARE INSTALLED ONLY. NO HOOPS, TENSION RODS OR DRUM HEADS. The Gold Sparkling Pearl Wrap on the shell has a nice appearance with only slight fading from the original gold color. (see pictures 13, 14 and 15 showing the drum shell w/ no hardware installed). The original wrap is tight along the edges and the main vertical seam. A drumhead rests flat and spins smoothly on both top/batter and bottom/resonant sides. BLACK and SILVER BADGE #837xx. (circa early 1970’s) The shell is 3 ply mahogany, poplar, maple w/ maple re-rings. The interior looks very nice and clean for a 50+ years drum shell. There is NO extra holes in drilled in the shell. The Bearing Edges and Re-Rings on both ends are nice and solid. (see pictures 8 thru 12). THE HARDWARE INSTALLED ON THE DRUM SHELL INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING. 1 – 160-6 Set-O-Matic Tom Mount Plate w/ SS2 Key Screw. Very Good Condition with only minor use. The chrome plating finish is very nice and shiny. The Mount Plate slides smoothly on the receiving arm post with no issues. 1 – 1081 internal muffler. Works smoothly and is in good operating condition. 12 – 565 Small Sound King lugs. Each one has been taken apart, cleaned and lubricated w/ clean felts installed. All twelve lugs are in nice clean shape. The chrome plating looks great giving off a nice shine. (see pictures) All threads inside the swivel nuts are in good condition. The mounting screws are in very nice clean condition with good threads. Please examine all the pictures for your consideration and to determine the condition for yourself.
