Brooklyn New York and Gretsch Drums, an inseparable legacy, reflected here in the Gretsch Brooklyn Series. Proudly hand-crafted in Gretsch’s Ridgeland, SC, USA factory. The Brooklyn produces a sound that is immediately recognizable, yet distinctively reinvented. Brooklyn’s innovative specifications created a new Gretsch tonal characteristic that is slightly more open and satisfyingly ambient. There is no denying that Brooklyn drums possess the sound of classic Gretsch drums, but deliver their own sonic personality. Brooklyn delivers classic Gretsch tones that are full, punchy and warm. 6-ply North American Maple/Poplar shells, which is slightly thicker than Gretsch’s USA Custom Drums. Shell interiors are finished with classic Gretsch Silver Sealer. Each shell comes with a distinctive Brooklyn internal shell label that identifies the drum shell model number and serial number. I have had this Gretsch renown Maple for a while. Only a few gigs always kept in bags. All drums equipped with DIECAST HOOPS. This set did me great and I don’t really want to sell it but I cant keep it right now. Unfortunately on one of my gig, there was a crash cymbal touching my 10 Tom and by time I realized, it was already scratched(See Pics) other than that only consistent wear, however it was kept in good condition. Make me a good offer and it will be yours today. I have 2 extra Kick Drum lugs I’m going to try and find.

Aside from some normal scratches and scuffs, this kit is in remarkable condition for it’s age and was well cared for by its one and only owner! Heads are old and will need to be replaced. All hardware and parts are original and in perfect working order. No major defects no cracks, no bearing edge issues, no missing parts, etc… This kit is absolutely LEGENDARY. Artists that have recorded classic records with Yamaha Recording Custom drums from this era include Steve Gadd, Jeff Porcaro, Vinnie Colaiuta, Rick Moratta, Nudu Chancelor, Sheila E, Omar Hakim, JR Robinson, Dave Weckl, and the list goes on!
