With these barely touched Maple Custom Absolute shells, Yamaha’s incredible craftsmanship can be yours for less! It’s rare you come across such a great condition used kit. This kit is here on consignment and came to us from a good home where it was kept pristine. All of the seams are tight and an extra set of bass drum hoops are included with the set. The original Yamaha hoops have a black satin finish with the silver glass wrap and you will also receive the natural hoops shown in the photo. The natural hoops have a bass drum hoop protector which minimized pedal rash. The chrome is in excellent shape and shows no signs of pitting. All of the drums were recently re-headed but do have some stick marks. The 13 tom is virtually untouched. The toms feature aluminum die-cast hoops and YESS mounts which are designed to increase sustain while giving more reliable tuning. There are die-cast claw hooks on the bass drum with protective rubber gaskets to prevent marring the hoops. No tom arms or stands are included. This DW Collectors maple drum set features a custom one of a kind Blue Sparkle Lacquer finish. Built in 1997, this is a player set but was kept in XL Specialty hardshell cases which are included with the sale. These drums come equipped with reinforcement rings to create a longer and slower sustain to its warm sound while creating the absolute best sound imaginable. While at Drum Doctors, one of the production guys located actual wrap and re-wrapped without clearance from Ross or the owner. The wrap was removed from one drum and shell was badly damaged, so Ross was cleared to keep what was left of the kit and get new shells from DW. DW asked if the owner wanted to keep the original badges or have them make new ones; the owner asked to keep the originals and carry over the serial #s. New DW shells were delivered in 2010 with custom finish, original badges. The mounting hardware on the 12 and 15 was updated and the 10 has the original mounting bracket.
