Sonor Delite series drums are rarely seen here, but they are easily one of our favorite sets. They are about as close as you can come to acoustic perfection and the gorgeous birdseye veneer is just icing on the cake. This is a Stage 1 set which is here on consignment and is in excellent condition. The Stage 1 configuration has the larger drums making this perfect for rock or studio work. The core of the Delite series is a spectrum of tone provided by their thin Vintage Maple shells with reinforcement rings. These provide an unmistakably open sound and an enormously wide tuning range for practically all styles of music. Sonor’s Vintage Maple shell creates a warm tone that highlights the lower pitches and provides balance in the mid-range and treble, without sacrificing projection and power. While the Sonor Delite series has been discontinued since 2013, the sound is as classic and timeless as ever. Delite Series – The Sonor Delite Series is designed for the professional drummer with clear ideas about equipment, features, and sounds. The classic two up and two down configuration has been well maintained. The chrome is in great condition with no signs of pitting and the lugs tune with ease. There are no extra holes and no modifications have been done to these drums. There are a couple of small bumps and bruises, but nothing outside of the normal wear and tear of a drumset of this age. The batter bass drum hoop was protected with a hoop guard to minimize any pedal rash and the heads for the entire set are fairly new. This is not a museum grade set, but will be a great player or recording set for the right person.
