Nice 4 piece Ludwig classic maple drum set from back in the day, these drums rock, sizes are 22×16, 13×12,12×11 and 16×16. They sound big and warm with great response and resonance. A nice solid players kit that is a pleasure to play. The sale is final and the drums do have some blemishes so please view the pictures but are still very presentable. Leedy & Ludwig Drum Set 1950s VGC Players Grade NO SNARE

Terrific 1950s Leedy & Ludwig drum kit – 14x 24 , 9×13, 16×16, Clean inside & out, VGC. The snare in the photos is not currently for sale, bass & 2 toms only. Great resonant old-school sound. The hoops on the toms are not the originals but you can get repros with clips and do it up old-school. Note the hoops on the bass drum, far as I can, are original with intact inlays. Also a few plugged holes on bass drum and two on rack tom. And, not uncommon after 50 years, some glue bleed-thru on bottom of bass drum wrap seam. Not visible when set up. Includes some clip on bass drum legs–newer long ones and old school small ones. Original old school L&L tom mount, mounted on original banana-style rod, not a hoop-mount. Works well for its vintage & design. I have a couple of extra various 24 bass drum heads to throw in. The closer to Philadelphia, the lower the cost. The shells are beechwood with no re-inforcing rings. The same shells used in the Phonic Series. The bass drum originally had telescoping spurs, which were replaced with Pearl spurs during the re-wrap process. Other than a few extra holes in the bass drum to accommodate the Pearl spurs, there are no additional holes drilled into the shells. Vintage 1960's Ludwig 13, 16, 22 Super Classic Configuration Players Drum Set

Vintage 3-ply Ludwig “Super Classic” 13, 16, 22 Configuration 1960s Era Keystone Badge. (Depth x Diameter, Serial Number) 9×13 401764 16×16 82205 14×22 402945. The serial numbers on the 13, and 22 are close enough that they are likely born together from the factory. The 16 is a bit older than the other drums but they all have the same hint of ginger ale. We’re not sure if this was originally a Super Classic (13, 16, 22) configuration as the bracket placement on the 13 would suggest the second drum in a (12, 13, 16, 22) Hollywood configuration… There are holes on the bass drum for a rail consolette as well as the still present center-mounted double tom holder. Oh well, lets be honest, everyone puts their tom in a snare stand now. At least I heard its what the cool kids do. You want to be cool, don’t you? There are extra holes on the bass drum that have been plugged with short carriage bolts and lock nuts. The hoops on the bass drum have been re-lacquered and the inlay has been re-glued (and replaced in parts). The interior paint on the 13 has been touched up in just a couple spots. I’m telling you because there’s no way you would have known otherwise. The interior paint on the 16 has not been touched up (but maybe we should have, it’s a little rough). The badge and the tom mount are about 3/4 off center on the top of the bass drum. There are some slight cosmetic blemishes in the finish of each drum, as you would expect from a 50+ year old set. Please see pictures for details. Ball bat mufflers (white felt) are correct and functional on both toms. The kit has been updated with new tension rods and 2.3mm counter hoops on the toms. In addition, new Evans heads have been installed top and bottom. New batter and logo head on the kick. The bearing edges are good and the drums tune up super well. In my experience most–but not all–Ludwigs from this decade sound good. This kit sounds awesome! Please don’t ask. Midwest Drum & Percussion Wichita, Kansas. Vintage Slingerland Red Satin Flame Drum Set 20 12 14 Player's Kit Nov. 1965

Vintage Slingerland 3 piece red satin flame drum kit. 20″ kick, 12″ rack tom, and the highly coveted 14 floor tom. I got this a while back for a project that never came together, so it needs to move. Shells are clear, and stamped November 1965 (toms also stamped with the 15th). Kick drum has black and brass Niles badge; toms have no badges, as is standard for this era. This is a player’s kit – the wrap shows lots of scuffs, marks, dings, and spots, but still looks great from a short distance (or would be a great candidate for a recover, as satin flame removes pretty easily). Chrome parts are in nice shape, though some of the leg wing bolts and bass drum T rods have some flaking to the chrome. All parts are correct and complete – 12″ and 14″ have their tone controls and chrome over brass hoops. Kick drum has new red satin flame inlays (a tad darker, but a good match), and the black wood has been repainted. One hoop is a bit out of round, and looks to have been repaired at one point; still works fine. Inside of drum I find one split in the wood at one lug bolt, shown in close up, that appears stable. Batter heads are all new, and have less than an hour or two of play. Kick drum batter head has had a repro period correct Slingerland logo applied. Overall a very cool little vintage kit, ready to play. I have posted 24 photos showing lots of detail – be sure to scroll down to see them all. Gibson era Slingerland champagne sparkle drum set, 12, 16, 22, good player's kit

RESERVE HAS BEEN REMOVED! This is a nice Gibson era Slingerland kit in champagne sparkle, made in Conway, AR. Sizes are 8×12, 16×16 and 18×22. The toms are 6-ply Keller, and the bass drum is 8-ply Keller. All of the drums tune up easily and have a great tone. It is in overall good condition, but it is a player’s kit – not a collector’s kit. There are some replacement parts, but NO EXTRA HOLES. Most of the chrome is very good and only needs a bit of a polish. There is some very minor pitting on a few pieces. The wrap is mostly clean, with any stains noted in the descriptions below. You can access them here. Here are the details.. The original hoops have been replaced with new stick saver hoops. They are identical to the original hoops, except they don’t have “Slingerland” stamped on them. Bearing edges are good. There is one ding inside the shell, shown in the photos. 16″x16″ Floor Tom. Like the 12 tom, the original hoops have been replaced with new stick saver hoops. Bearing edges are good, with one ding on the batter-side edge. The inside of the shell has quite of bit of dings and scratches (like another drum had been stored inside it). There is one major ding on the inside by one floor tom brackets, like the drum had been dropped (see photos). From what I can tell, the drum is structurally sound. The thumb screws on the brackets have been replaced with Gibraltar thumb screws. The legs are original, and one is slightly bent. There are a few stains on the wrap, but nothing major (see photos). 18″x22″ Bass Drum. The bass drum is really nice, with only a couple of small dings inside the shell. The hoops have some scratches and paint chips, but are structurally good. There is a dark stain on the bottom of the drum (not visible when the drum is set up). The original spurs have been replaced with Gibraltar spurs, but no extra holes were drilled (they have the exact same hole pattern). The claws on one side have been replaced with new Slingerland claws. The original claws have some scratches. The drum is not drilled for any sort of mount. The original Slingerland reso head is there, but has been cut for a mic port. If you have ANY questions, please ask.
