4×14 1920’s Leedy Utility Model Nickel Over Brass Snare Drum. I have used this on recording sessions only. The tension rods are original as well as all but one hoop claw. I think I have the original one if I can find it I will throw it in for free. This drum has been upgraded for modern snare wires so it can be tuned and played harder for modern music.

A 1945/46 Leedy 3-piece drum set, professionally refinished in a dark reddish lacquer by a pro painter friend. Nickel hardware on everything. 9×13: No extra holes, all original parts including its ratchet arm mount. 16×16: No extra holes. All original parts including the legs. Neither tom ever had mufflers. 14×24: Four small extra holes where Ludwig gull wing spur brackets had been on the bottom. These were plugged before the refinish and look very good. All original except the hoops, which are thin 7-ply of unknown origin. Comes with a matched pair of nickel hoop clamp spurs. Front head is a vintage calfskin with a port hole. All drums are maple outer ply, which probably means they were a Duco finish originally. They all have some nicks and scratches here and there, nothing too major. All are in round. Bearing edges are likely recut, but with a vintage-style contour that looks just like my’49 Leedy kit, so it’s hard to be sure. They’re flawless on all three drums. All the nickel is in great shape too with very minor wear. All threads are good and all parts move smoothly. Even the tom arm holds solidly. These drums are best described as super warm and round sounding. The kick has plenty of punch and body, the toms are somewhat on the quiet side and very easy to dial in.
