TreeHouse Custom Drums 6-pc Compact Nesting Kit with Black Hardware – NEW/USED. 3 mounted, floor, bass, snare… All that fits into 2 cases! Toss a little black hardware in to be unique, and you’ll look-n-sound great at the gig! This configuration is comprised of a 5-pc Compact Nesting Kit CS-205 with an add-on 8 tom for when you need a little more high end on your grooves/fills. The 10″ – 13″ – 16″ – bass drum – snare drum all nest (just like a standard CS-205) with the 8″carried separately. Lightweight spring clamps on the 13 mounted tom, floor tom and bass drum shells securely attach the two parts of each of these drums. To be sure that they line up perfectly, the “Seam Lips” make for airtight, rattle-free assembly every time you set up! These are barely noticeable, do not penetrate the finish, and are purely cosmetic, as the drum is in 100% working order. When we received this tom back on trade, we completely disassembled and refurbished the drum, and then built a brand new kit to wrap around it. Includes 6 drums, 3 floor tom legs, and 3 tom arms. All drums features the Vintage Marine Pearl finish. 7-ply Cross-Laminated North American Maple. Preferred by professionals for its tonal versatility, Classic Maple drums are the ideal choice for any performance application. Its high sensitivity, wide dynamic tuning range, and sharp attack make it the ideal choice for live performance. Yet Classic Maple’s 7-ply shell is crafted to respond to the player and environment quickly, making it adaptable to any playing style or preference. Each drum’s bearing edge is cut to a 45-degree angle within 1/16 from the outside edge. This sharp edge is hand-sanded to the craftsman’s touch to assure a smooth, even, flat surface for easy head seating; the final touch to complete the unmistakable Ludwig Sound. Classic Maple’s standard 7-ply, 6mm shell is formulated for optimum resonance and tonality. Its center three-ply core panel (laminated in a horizontal/vertical/horizontal grain bond to a 2.4mm thickness,) is inserted between inner and outer two-ply panels through our proprietary RFST molding process. To increase stability through out the drum, all Ludwig USA shells are produced using Radio Frequency Shell Technology. Using a process involving our original bladder molds, R. S unique bonding system -combined with a specialized, time-tested adhesive- cures each shell evenly over the entire surface of the shell. This process is truly a principal ingredient in creating the “Ludwig Sound” in every shell we make. MY TAKE ON IT/RECOMMENDATIONS. Interesting tidbit: Ludwig has the most advanced and accurate method of manufacturing drum shells with the classic maple line. The tolerance where each ply meets is so tight, it negates the need for any wood filler. The end result is a outstanding, unbridled tone. When it comes to a straight maple shell, these are my favorite in the business. The sound is TIMELESS.
