Like New DW Drum Workshop Collectors Series 4 piece kit with Maple/Mahogany Shells in beautiful Black Galaxy Finish Ply. These are the best-sounding DW drums I have owned. These drums have been babied. Always kept indoors in the a/c in a smoke-free environment. These special shells have no re-rings as they are one extra ply thicker than the usual maple shells. Snare Drum (matching) 5.5″ x 14″ 12 ply (12.5 mm thick), 10 Lug. Gretsch drums, especially the New Classic Maple (NCM) play, sound and look AMAZING! Gretsch has been producing high quality drums since 1883 and their New Classic Maple (NCM) line is no exception. The special classic dual post tube lugs are even exact replicas of the original Billy Gladstone design from the 1930s. Since the NCM line made it’s debut in the early 2000s, other drum manufacturers have jumped on the bandwagon, offering their own retro designs. In addition to their drums, Gretsch has a reputation for their fine string instruments. A Gretsch factoid: Many well known, famous drummers play the kits they use on stage, whether Ludwig, Tama, DW, Pearl, etc… Because of their product endorsement agreements, but when the time comes to actually lay down tracks in the studio, most prefer doing it on a Gretsch. They know “That Great Gretsch Sound” sings out, and produces that balanced tone requiring very little to no EQ adjustments on the recording console, practically no signal processing required. In addition to its neoclassical aesthetics, Gretsch created the NCM line to give drummers access to the same build quality, sonic result, and playability as with their Brooklyn, USA Custom, and Renown lines. The downside was that Gretsch was losing revenue and thus, ceased NCM production in 2017 making the NCM line a collector’s dream. The upside is that unlike the above mentioned lines, the NCM has that 1930s classic dual-post tube lug style, but post 2000, hence, the name New – Classic. Because Gretsch is no longer producing the NCM line they are extremely hard to find and especially in this condition. Other Gretsch NCM drums I’ve seen for sale are usually all banged up. This one is in MINT condition. Better snap up this special, rare shell pack while you still can because if you don’t, we’re sure someone else will. All pieces predate the hyper-production years of Ludwig prior to Ringo/The Beatles. Original Ludwig heads : reso in VG+ / batter in G+ condition. NEAR-MINT TO MINT CONDITION. The legs appear to be custom as they are slightly longer than even the typical long Ludwig legs (and out of the entire kit the legs show the most wear due to this length as the legs have been tightened below the knurled portions).

Mint condition Gretsch USA Brooklyn Drum kit. Please see the link for shell sizes. The picture on their website is inaccurate as it shows a 3 piece instead of a 4. 22 10 12 16. Lots of extras here. I did not like the RIMS mounts and added the Gretsch mounts. I have the rims mounts and the lugs that were removed to add the Gretsch ones if needed. I have 2 sets of bass drum hoops. The ones in my photo are of some DW flat black ones I used for a Mission trip to Poland. I have the stock ones with the oyster inlay. Kit comes with the floor tom legs, Toms mounts and the kick mount for the toms. Kit is in mint condition with new heads.
