Rare for many reasons. 1 I haven’t seen a Horst Link with these many drums before. Based on a frequently asked question, I’ll answer it here: NO, I have no proof this was played by him. This is the story behind the drums based on this employee, which I’m sure has no real reason to lie. In any case the price is based on other similar sets for sale, not in the history behind the set. 3 The condition of such an old set. For a 30 year old set it looks unbelievable. No rust or pitting in any of the chrome and barely any marks around the set. I pictured the “worst” four (you can see my finger right by it). I can give the set an easy 9/10 condition which is amazing for such an old set. Also I tried polishing the chrome and it cleans out as if it would be new from factory with no need of polishing products. 4 The rare configuration: 10×9, 12×10, 13×11, 14×12, 15×13, 16×14, 18×18 and 24×17.
