Late 70's Ludwig Vistalite Amber 4 piece Drum Kit
Late 70’s Ludwig Vistalite Amber 4 piece Drum Kit. The Kick is 24″, the floor tom is 18′ and the rack toms are 14″ and 12 (not pictured). I believe this from 1979 based on the badge that someone else researched. Definitely of the era and Bonzo. It’s been in my possession for 30 years and before that it was a studio kit. It will require some TLC but once dialed in it sounds amazing. It’s missing a spar for the kick, you will want to replace the front hoop and the floor tom has been welded and yes when you get close you will notice some small scratches but you don’t notice when you get 10 feet away much less on stage. There is another smaller rack tom not pictured. Available to view at a rehearsal space.

Tama Hi-Hat stand with Tama top hi-hat and Paiste 302 bottom hat. (2) DW 5000 bass drum pedal. This kit was refinished with a deep blue stain. Shells are in good condition. Badges are included but were not reinstalled on the drums. Throne is not included. Some rust on the stands and lugs but overall in good shape. 14″ and 15″ drums don’t have bottom heads included.

Vintage late 1970s Gretsch 4 piece drum set, Ebony Black, Excellent Condition, stop sign badge, Rare! A rare find indeed! This is a late 1970’s Gretsch 4-piece drum set in excellent condition. Sizes are 12″, 13″, 14″ toms, and a 22″ bass drum. Ebony black lacquer finish, Jasper maple shells. The chrome is awesome! All paper tags are there. Stop sign badges (except one, see pics). Toms have RIMS drum mounts that really bring out that great Gretsch sound! The only modifications I’ve done are changing the mounting of the toms to RIMS, and I replaced the spurs (the original spurs didn’t hold the kick securely enough). Check photos for more detail. SLINGERLAND Spirit 3-Piece Drum Kit. The Wraps, Shells & Hardware certainly do not look 25 years old, only some insignificant scuffing on top of the Bass Drum from the Toms seated too low and some minor pedal rash on the Bass Drum batter hoop. These blemishes are hardly visible and only noticeable if your really hunting for them. The T-Bolt Holding the Tom Mount is Not Original. One of the Spurs is Missing the Tension Nut That keeps the Rubber Foot from Moving. All Original Heads on the Batter and Resonant Sides of all the drums except for the snare, which has a new batter head. These drums are from the era when Gibson Guitar Co. These kits were not very prominent because of Gibson’s stipulation that in order to become a Slingerland dealer, music stores also had to carry Gibson guitars. This was not feasible because small independently owned music stores could not afford to carry both lines. Also, They were priced higher than others brands in their class.
