Im putting my Tama Silverstar up for sale. These drums are in good condition and sound great. They have a really punchy sound and Ive loved them for the past 5 years. Here are the Drum/Hardware Specs: (length of head x depth of shell). The shells are made of birch. Snare: 13 x 6.5. Tom Tom 1: 10 x 6. Tom Tom 2: 12 x 6. Floor Tom 1: 14 x 12. Floor Tom 2: 16 x 14. Bass Drum: 22 x 18. Tama Iron Cobra 600 Double Bass Pedal. Premier Tri-lock Hi-Hat Stand. The drums have Remo Emperors on top and Tama Factory Ambassador type heads on the bottom. The bass drum and snare drum has tama factory heads on both sides (I can swap out the top snare head for a slightly used coated ambassador if you want). I recently re-tuned the drums. All you need is a drum key and some cymbals and you are ready to go. I recently greased, took apart and cleaned up the iron cobras. Im putting them up for sale because I have a new kit I just bought and need to make some space. I would be willing to sell the shells without the hardware and vice versa. Rare for many reasons. 1 I haven’t seen a Horst Link with these many drums before. Based on a frequently asked question, I’ll answer it here: NO, I have no proof this was played by him. This is the story behind the drums based on this employee, which I’m sure has no real reason to lie. In any case the price is based on other similar sets for sale, not in the history behind the set. 3 The condition of such an old set. For a 30 year old set it looks unbelievable. No rust or pitting in any of the chrome and barely any marks around the set. I pictured the “worst” four (you can see my finger right by it). I can give the set an easy 9/10 condition which is amazing for such an old set. Also I tried polishing the chrome and it cleans out as if it would be new from factory with no need of polishing products. 4 The rare configuration: 10×9, 12×10, 13×11, 14×12, 15×13, 16×14, 18×18 and 24×17. Any Sonor fans out there I’m sure will be thrilled to own this monster piece of history. I’m including all the mounting hardware for each drum, as seen in one of the last pics.
