Here’s a rare huge double bass shell pack in bdp. I was told these are 3ply shells if there not please let me know. You can split these up in 2 sets. This was a custom order back in the 70’s. Note: each bass drum has 2 tom holders! Please see all photos. Here’s what you get: 1970’s (2) 14×26 bass drums that have the rail and double tom holder 4 spurs on each drum. (2) 10×14 double headed toms. (2) 16×18 floor toms with legs! (1) Ludwig double tom stand. (2) Ludwig double tom holders 1 per bass drum. (2) Ludwig speed king bass drum pedals note: the frame of pedals was painted olive. The original owner had put a clear lacquer inside the shells, and it covers the screws, and it will need to be taken off the inside of the shells and screws. The bass drum seams need to be reglued and these need a huge cleaning. These drums will rock your world and you can have your John Bonham set up! This Sale is for: A set of Ludwig Epic Drums in Celestial Blue scarce light blue! The drumheads show light wear as does the chrome… The chrome is called “smoky” chrome. The drums themselves are in very HIGH GRADE condition. Very shiny and bright. The shells are 2-ply birch on the inner layer… 3-ply maple in the middle… And 2-ply birch on the outer layer…. Funk configuration, which really just refers to a “6-Piece Set”, as well as drum sizes, but has nothing to do with the style of music they are limited to. A HUGE 22×20 virgin bass drum (I have added a leather hoop protector to the bass drum)… And a matching 14×5 snare drum. Snare drum is really heavy! And it is 10 lugs! This model Drum Set is very difficult to find! … I only used these drums a few times and I was VERY careful with them.. This is a “shell kit” No accessories such as cymbals or pedals, etc. You do however get two mounting brackets that go on your cymbal stands. One holds 1 tom.. The other holds 2 toms. Also there are rim mounts attached to the smaller toms, so you get those too. Please note that these rim mounts are large & sturdy. Included is this deal is the full drum setup including: the TD-10 drum module, all the wiring, the full heavy duty drum rack, the kick drum pad/assembly, a Tama kick drum pedal with the beater, 4 Tom drum pads, 1 snare drum pad, 2 crash cymbal pads, 1 ride cymbal pad, 3 cymbal boom arms, 1 hihat cymbal pad, and 1 hihat control pedal! This kit has lots of awesome sounds and settings, truly a very high quality drum kit! It has some scratches here and there and some small signs of wear from age. This is just cosmetic and doesnt affect anything. The snare drum pad has a small scrape on the side but works perfectly and this is just cosmetic. Really nice drum kit for the price! This is a HUGE set of TAMA Granstar drums, circa 1987, in gunmetal finish. They have nicks, scrapes and normal wear for older drums that were used, but no major damage. The shells and hoops are structurally perfect. A couple of the toms have the wrap-edge lifting up, but I’ve never gotten around to re-gluing them since they are on the back and don’t really show, but this could be done if desired. If you research these drums, you will find that Granstar was TAMA’s top of the line series at the time, right under the Artstar series… And they sound and look fantastic. They will come with everything pictured, minus the cymbals. This includes the large, wrap-around Gibraltar rack setup, Gibraltar bass pedals, Gibraltar legless hi-hat stand with clamp, snare stand, many cymbal boom arms and many extra Gibraltar rack parts (tubes, clamps, etc), plus the original Titan bass pedals. The sizes are as follows. 24 bass drums (x2). 14×6.5 chrome wrapped snare drum. 6 home-made acrylic octobans (x4). All drums have new Remo clear Powerstroke heads on the batter sides and Remo Starfire (chrome) heads on the resonant sides. I will be including a bunch of Remo clear Ambassador heads as well. You are looking at a monster 8 pc Ludwig maple classic drum set covered in the rare stainless steel chrome wrap. Sizes are 10,12,13,14,15,16 rack toms 18 floor Tom and a 24 x 16 bass drum. The drums with the actual stainless steel wrap are hard to come by, and even harder to find in decent shape. Overall this kit presents really well. They shine bright and are very impressive to behold. Drums have a few small scratches here and there of course from routine use over the years. The biggest issue with these is when you find them they tend to be pitted badly. In regards to this most of the drums have little pitting. The only exception for some reason is the 16 rack Tom which has some significant peppering on the backside of wrap, and there is a bit of lighter peppering on one bottom side of bass drum , which doesnt show much when set up. The remaining drums have little pitting to speak of. Small spots here and there. Another issue with these drums are people make the mistake of taking Brillo pads to them, which scratches the steel finish. That is not the case here. I hand buffed them with mild drum finish solution and they shined up quite well. There a videos advise on line showing how to remove the remaining pitting. I tried to include as many pics as possible, could not take individual pics outside because my trees that overhang my yard showed up in the mirror finish and prevented you from seeing the actual drum.
