This thing is a monster. If you are looking for a GREAT sounding, uber-impressive set, look no further. After hearing that the default Memriloc mounts negatively the sound of the drums, most rack toms were upgraded to suspension mounts. However, the original drum mounts will be included if required. The color is piano black. Most are in exceptional condition, but there are some marks, especially on the bass drum. The brightwork is almost all pristine. ALL THE HEADS ARE BRAND NEW. Not like new, so they might need stretching out. 4 are open “concert toms”; no bottom res head 4 are conventional toms with bottom heads. Only the toms, mounting rigs/stands and bass drum are available for this price. 8×5.5″, 10×6.5″ concert toms. 12×7″, 13×8″ regular toms. 14×9.5″, 15×11.5″ concert toms. 16×15″, 18×15″ floor toms. THE GOOD; They sound awesome. Despite the size, it is very playable. The condition is amazing for a set of this age. Bearing edges are great. They tune up easier than any other set I’ve tried. If you set this set on stage, it will garner LOTS of attention and admiration. Most of the setup devices have devices to make setting up the set as close ad possible as the same will be possible. The front bass head has a Rogers script stencil which ties the whole set together. THE NEGATIVE; First, the 8 concert tom is showing some signs of de-lamination. I didn’t notice any problems with the sound, but it means to be mentioned. The full size 12″ and 13″ toms are pretty heavy, so the mounting adjustments on the bass need to be torqued down pretty much to get it stable, but once it is tightened, I had no problems. Also, this has mounts, stands, and the batter bass drum batter hoop which looks to be a replacement. The front bass drum hoop has lots of wear which was not repaired. For sale, my beloved Tama Imperialstar monster kit. I’ve owned it for 20 years. It’s mostly been in an in-home studio, non-smoking. We’re downsizing, so it must go. Includes 2 snare drums, 10 toms, 2 rare! 24 kick drums, high-hat stand and cymbals, ride, a couple of cymbals, and all stands and mounts. Also included are the pictured Roto Toms! Not included are the kick pedals and throne. The snare drum that is pictured is not includes, but 2 other snares are included. If you’re not familiar with the vintage Imperialstar, these have a mahogany shell and the Zola coating on the inside. Stewart Copeland of The Police played these, as well as Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater. Most of the toms and the kicks have Evans heads. Most drums are metalic white, but there is one tom that is pewter and one that is black. If you know what these are: almost all toms have the rerings, and the closed toms have the thick rerings.
