Some hardware pieces are missing, most notably the legs from the floor tom, the bottom hoop of the rack tom and a couple of lugs from the kick. The snare stand is missing a set screw. The interior of the kick and toms is painted black, but the snare has a date stamp Oct 5 1960. There’s a good bit of wear and tear, and Pearl legs were added to the kick drum. One of the most difficult kits to find in the most popular finish. The Infamous Sonor Force Maple. Not to be confused with the modern day cheaper imported 3001,3007, maple select, etc. These are the actual original Maple Force maple drums. Rarely due they turn up for sale. Does not mean it has never happened, just saying I have never seen one. Extremely clean drums, with fresh pinstripes all around on the toms and a Powerstroke 3 bass batter. Heads will have some light stick marks as I will be playing this beaut till it sells. And to say Im not in a hurry to move it would be an understatement. The finish is incredible and looks 50 times more impressive in person. Hard to capture in photos. Chrome is in superb shape. Cosmetically easily a 9 out of 10. One mark on 16 which I pictured, other than that and a few spots on bass drum hoop from pedal, not really anything else to note. Painstakingly taking care of. Sizes are 22,10,12,16. The last of the Chicago era drums before the move to niles. Rarely ever see these come up in this condition. Bought from original owner who received it as graduation gift in 1960. Silver Sparkle Shells are stamp dated accordingly. Been very well taken care of. Have been packed away in cases on a closet since 1973 (have the newspapers the cases were stuffed with, lol). Bass drum has the original calf skin heads both sides which in 20 have fetched as high as a 100 spot themselves and the floor has original calf head on redo side. A little pitting here and there on chrome, but mostly just build up which could be removed if you want to put on the time. Didnt note any scuffs on finish. Looks really good overall. Comes with mounted cymbal arm pictured. I know I know. I mounted the rack Tom upside down for pic. I was in a hurry. Any questions ask away. Im extremely excited to offer this very rare and super cool 4 piece Peavey Radial Pro 1000 kit. These are very hard to find, especially in this condition. In fact, so amazing I have another set that will forever remain in my collection. The kit is from 1996 and the color is Gloss Pearl White. In most photos it is hard to see but the paint actually has a metallic shimmer to it. The shells most people think look heavy but actually they are quite the opposite. The toms are made from a 1/10th of an inch thick 3 ply shell and the bass drum is a 5 ply shell. The condition of this kit is fantastic. There are a few blemishes here and there but very few and really you have to look for them. The chrome hoops and included set of rims mounts are nice and shiny. Of course as always, Ill pack them with great care! Feel free to ask any questions. Up for sale is a nice, but extremely rare white marine pearl Sonor kit from the 50’s. I bought the set about 13 years ago from a shop in Germany and have kept them home in cases since. Please note that the drum sizes are metric so standard heads will not fit. However, a standard head will fit and is included on the floor tom. The other drums include calf skin heads including the original logo head on the bass drum. Overall I think this kit is in great shape for its age and these drums are extremely rare. The most common issue I see is that the wrap seems to crack on the bass drums (see photos) All of the 50’s kits I have owned have this issue and I think its mostly due to the very thin beach shell sonor developed in the 50’s. I also think that the thin beach shell drums are the best sounding drums made. Tom – Overall this drum is in good shape with some chrome pitting and a few scuff marks on the wrap, but appears to be all original. Floor tom – Overall this drum is in good shape with some chrome pitting and a few scuff marks on the wrap, but appears to be all original. Bass drum – The silver paint on the hoops has been repainted (not by me). Some cracks in the wrap and the muffler is missing from the bottom (there are two and the second is on the top side). Wing screws which hold the spurs and the cymbal arm are not original but work perfectly. Bass Drum – 54mm or 21 3/16. Floor Tom – 38mm or 15″ (a standard 15″ head will fit and is included). Ludwig Gold Sparkle Club Date drum set – 1965, painted white interiors. Baseball bat mufflers on the 12 and 14. The set is in great vintage condition. Bright gold sparkle original wrap. No uneven wrap fade, not much color fade if any either. Very few (2 or 3) black’dots’ in the gold sparkle. Cymbal arm included as pictured. Extremely minor wrap rash and or scuffs. The bottom of the bass drum has a extremely minor wrap scuff. One of the bow tie lugs on the bass drum has extremely minor bit of tom rash. Chrome over all is in great shape, extremely minor pitting if any. Original resonant logo drum head for the bass drum included. Coated Remo ambassador heads on the batter sides of the drums. The 14 has a original Ludwig coated on the bottom. The 12 has a clear Remo ambassador. 100% completely original, no scabbed in parts or switch outs. Everything tightens down as it should.
