Vintage 1960’s Ludwig Club Date Drumset with matching snare in original blue sparkle wrap. All drums come with original lugs, tension rods and rims. All with white interiors and re-rings. All bearing edges are in good condition. 1 5x14snare, serial number: 217291. Original snare throw-off, new Remo heads. 2 8×12 mounted tom, serial number: 222907. 3 14×14 floor tom, serial number 419789. Comes with original 3 retractable legs and baseball bat muffler. 4 14×20 bass drum, serial number: 222264. Comes with 2 legs/spurs and consolette tom mount. Missing the tom clamp-mount which attaches to the consolette. Also missing the L-arm cymbal holder (mount is included). Interior shows a delamination repair. Small piece of the blue sparkle wrap on the very bottom of drum is missing – see pics. One of the sparkle strips is missing on one of the hoops. Stands are not included. Great looking, great sounding kit.

1960’s Ludwig Club Date Combo in Silver Sparkle with a converted snare drum as a floor tom. Silver Sparkle has faded to a ginger ale’ish color. Chrome is in excellent condition on the bass drum and mounted tom, and very good condition on floor tom (converted snare). 14″x 20″ Bass Drum, inlay is present. Keystone badge, Claws and tension rods on batter side are not original Ludwig. 8x 12 Mounted Tom, Keystone badge, tone control present. 10″x 14″ Snare/Floor Tom, Blue/Olive Badge, extra holes were snare throw and butt end were. Floor tom leg rims style mounts and generic floor tom legs. Pictures are part of the description so please ask any questions and we will do our best to answer them.

I would like to sell this gorgeous Ludwig Clubdate drum kit in the popular Downbeat configuration. The drums are wrapped in the beautiful and timeless Mod Orange color. This drumset is in excellent condition. My asking price also includes a matching 14×5.5 Legacy Jazz Fest snare! 1965 Ludwig Club Date Drum set in Silver Sparkle. 3 ply shells of Mahogany/Poplar/Mohogany with maple re-rings. The set consists of the following. 14″ x 22″ Bass drum Serial 170042 with telescopic spurs, consolette tom mount and side cymbal mount. Wrap is tight and new Ludwig head for resonant, Vintage Ludwig Weather King for batter. 14″ x 14″ floor tom. Rare size with telescopic legs included. New Remo heads top and bottom. 13″ x 9″ Rack tom. 166242 and one slight crack in wrap, see picture. 6′ away, you can’t see it. 14″ x 5″ Jazz Festival snare drum. 163368 and a beauty. New heads, original wires. Correct P83 throwoff and P32 Butt plate. All drums have Ludwig white paint, in the round and the usual micropitting on the lugs, but overall, amazing condition for being almost 50 years old. Will include bass drum spurs, floor tom legs, consolette mount. No extra holes anywhere. WFL snare stand included. Check my other auctions and my feedback is very important to me. I’ll carefully pack and nest in one box and I’ve done this before. Many thanks and I hope these go to a good home.

Here’s an incredible find, a Club Date 20/12/14 with matching Pioneer snare and period-correct hardware. Three of the drums are date stamped November 12, 1966, while the floor tom is date stamped November 10, 1966. This outfit consists of. 14″ (depth) x 20″ (diameter) bass drum, serial number 423508, with cymbal arm. 8″ x 12″ tom, serial number 423908. 14″ x 14″ floor tom, serial number 422175. 5.5″ x 14″ snare drum, serial number 423876. Speed King bass drum pedal. Spur Lok hi hat stand. Porto Seat throne with oval top. Tool pouch with key and wrench. No snare stand is included (the one pictured is a modern Tama, and is available separately). The snare drum and toms sport white felt “baseball bat” mufflers. The resonant heads appear to be original on the bass drum and toms (there are some stick marks on the 12). The other heads are modern Remo with plenty of life left. The snare wires appear to be original as well. The drums are in good condition, especially considering their age. Expect the usual cosmetic issues of a 50+ year kit, including pedal rash and other paint loss on the bass drum hoops and shell interiors, imperfect chrome, especially on the batter hoops, just little things here and there that don’t affect the playability. One rubber spur tip is being held on with a twist tie, and the hi hat stand is missing one tip entirely. The wrap is tight and fairly consistent in terms of fade/yellowing.
