Welcome to my online store, “FE FO FO DRUM”. Where the focus is drums and percussion items. This listing is for a well made, fine looking Jr. Size drum set, made by PULSE Company. The drums are in excellent condition. Heads have been replaced with top quality name brand heads. The hardware is bright and shiney, and includes Bass drum legs or stabilizers, three floor tom legs, Dual tom mount on the bass drum, and arms for moun. Ting the rack toms on. There are no rips nor tears, nor splitting or damage of any sort to the drums. The rims, lugs, tension rods, hoops etc. Are bright with no pitting or rust. The metallic cobalt blue wrap is undamaged on all drums andvery attractive Included are a Bass drum, diameter 16″ by 10″ deep; a Floor Tom, diameter 13″ by 10″ deep, and two rack toms that mount atop the bass drum, sized 8″ and 10″, by 5 inches deep. I’m doing so because the drums are well made of poplar wood, have well precision cut bearing edges and will hold up indefinitely. These would be the perfect gift for any drummer. I’ve played these drums where space was at a premium, needed a small footprint, but drums that projected well,, and sounded good. The cymbals are trash the pedals, very shakey.

Yamaha Tour Custom 5 Piece Drum Set. Made in Japan. He gigged them for years on the Los Angeles music scene in the 1980s and 1990s so they saw their fair share of use in bars, clubs, and indoor/outdoor gigs. Having said that, here are some of the condition notes to point out. One of the bass drum legs is missing its pointed end and rubber tip. The other bass drum leg is missing its rubber tip. The bass drum sits still when you have the legs out so its functional at the moment if you dont mind and just want to set the drums up and play them. The bass drum does not wobble. The bass drum has mild foot pedal rash you would expect from a set of this age. Its actually not too bad. The heads are in ok shape overall. The batter heads on the toms have some use here and there but still some life left in them. There is a scratch in the paint on the 15 tom. I took a picture of it. Its not bad and its doesnt get into the paint too bad but it is there. The hardware in general (tom hoops, tension rods, lugs, bass drum claws) probably need an extensive cleaning. The hardware isn’t thrashed or anything like that but everything needs a polish and a buff, really. The previous owner sort of let too much time go by without disassembling the drums down to the shell and cleaning the hardware. I took all the heads off and gave the drums a general wipe down and clean up but the new owner might want to take these drums down to their shells for cleaning. The interior hardware actually looks really nice. Sometimes you see oxidation on the inside hardware of drums but that is not the case here. Overall I would rate this set in good condition. It would be perfect for a drummer looking for the nostalgia of a 1980s Tour Custom kit with the very elusive Cobalt Blue finish. This set includes the Vintage Yamaha Japan double tom stand seen. 10″ x 10″ tom. 12″ x 10″ tom. 14″ x 11″ tom. 15″ x 13″ tom. 22″ x 16″ bass drum. Contact me with any other questions. Yamaha Tour Custom Drum Set (cobalt blue) from the late’80s, with all original hardware and light touring cases. I ditched the bulky floor tom and added the smaller 10 a long time ago, which is a much better set up and easier to lug to gigs. Plus, these killer birch and mahogany shells are pretty dark and deep sounding. Having the 10 alleviates some of that redundancy in the bottom end. Set includes: 22″ bass drum 10″ tom 12″ tom 13″ tom three tom mounts two boom cymbal stands (plus another non-boom) hi-hat stand snare stand bass pedal five light-duty touring cases (one for a snare drum) gear bag No snare included (since we all like our personalized snares). There is road wear on the drums (it was a gigging set for ten years) but nothing major and nothing that affects their playing. I still love them, in fact, but I finally went super lightweight and bought a little cocktail set. Thought I’d keep these around for other gigs, but they’re just sitting, being sad. The fine print: the bass pedal is the original. I actually still use it on my Ludwig set, since I’ve always enjoyed the feel of it (more than DW and all the fancier pedals). I will regretfully part with it. The snare stand is missing one rubber cover to the drum hold (as you can see in the photo), but it works just fine and would be easy enough to rectify. One of the boom stands is also missing a rubber foot, but I will include an extra non-boom stand (with a few bolts cannibalized). You can use it for parts itself or fix it up for a THIRD cymbal stand (all Yamaha, double-braced and beefy). I have the original hi-hat stand, too, but a friend traded me his Pearl, which is much beefier. He bought his kid a set, and he’s not using it much. Wondered if I’d like the better hi-hat stand. If you want the original, I can swap it back, no problem. I would, however, recommend the Pearl. It’s a far better piece of equipment. The Anvil cases are vulcanized fibre. They have some wear, too–they’re cases, after all, and saw some action in California and Texas–but they keep the drums safe. They were bought when I still had the bigger floor tom, so the 13 tom goes in a case that’s bigger than it needs to be. I always liked the extra room, however, for odds and ends at gigs. There’s also a gear bag, bought within the last few years (after my last one pretty much disintegrated). It’s felt lined and allows you to keep stands in their longer positions. Some of the most sought after yamies of all time. And it is the cobalt blue kit made famous most notably by Anton Fig. Sizes are 10,12,13,14,16,22. Sound wise as the old cliche goes, deep, warm, and boomy. The closest thing I could compare it to modern day would be a Tama Bubinga Kit I owned previously. They sound like war drums in the jungle. Kit is not perfect cosmetically. I gave it a quick wipe down but did not detail it, clean chrome, etc. I will leave that to you. Was used out, and as a result has some bumps and bruises throughout. Tom rash on bass drum where deep rack Tom rubbed. Batter side bass drum hoop has paint chipped and wood scrapped where pedal attaches. Chrome has some build up. By no means is it thrashed or a beater, I just do not want to give impression it is perfect cosmetic wise because it is not. Structually very sound though. Missing one bass drum spur. But stays in place perfect without it. Stands in pic are just for display and not included. You would not want them anyway. Please ask any questions before purchasing, as it is not feasible to return something this large. 1980’s Yamaha Tour Custom Tom. Sizes are 22×16 bass drum, 12″ diameter x 10″ deep tom and 16×16 floor tom. Birch Mahog shells sound amazing. These tune super low and very warm sounding.. These are great drums. Cobalt Blue Lacquer finish has lots of chips and scratches but overall looks great. Chrome hardware is nice with just slight pitting. Yamaha Tour Custom Drums 8000 series Circa 1987 This kit is in used but excellent condition. They are some minor blemishes here and there and some wear on bass drums hoop from pedal placement. These drum are very similar to Recording Custom drums but the mahogany mixed with the birch give the drums a lower fundamental. These drums sound fantastic and look great. I really hate to part with this kit but I simply have no space for it and it really deserves a home where it can be appreciated. I bought it from the original owner in around about 1992-ish. I had a large cheap rehearsal space in LES and these had a fairly permanent location for 12 years until we lost that space. They’ve basically been in storage in my apartment since. I haven’t been able to even TRY to sell them because most of the pictures I had of them from before were very dark. And I had no good pictures of them until recently bc I had no space to set them up. But here they are. In all their cobalt blue beauty!!! Tour Custom series are birch and mahogany plys for great attack with full body!! And these are from the Power Tour Custom family. Meaning, extra shell depth. They’re not Turbo Tour, which is an inch additional in depth from the Power. The original kit didn’t have the 15″ tom so, the 10(x10), 12(x10), 13(x11) & 14(x12) mounted toms are Power Tour series (F suffix in their badge stamps) as are the two 24″ bass drums (16 deep). The 16(x16), and 18(x16) floor toms and the 14×6-1/2 snare were also original and are standard Tour Custom series (C suffix in the floor tom badge stamps) as is the 15(x12) mounted tom that I acquired later to experiment with some left hand tom-foolery. The snare is full and rich and crisp. The bass drums give HUGE DEEP bottom. The toms are melodic and rich with good attack for cutting through the mix. And there’s a 14×4 (3-1/2 really) blue David Garibaldi brass piccolo snare (this thing weighs a TON) for anything from timbale like metallic rip your head off Ka-RAYAACK to the driest military marching parade staccato clarity. This is 2 or 3 drum kits combined. The sizes: 10×10, 12×10, 13×11, 14×12 and, 15×12 mounted toms. 16×16 and 18×16 floor toms. (2) 24×16 bass drums. ALL Yamaha Tour Custom or Power Tour Custom in COBALT BLUE. 14×4 blue Yamaha David Garibaldi signature series brass piccolo snare. The toms and bass drums all have Impact brand soft padded cases. The snares have Impact brand hard padded cases. The 12 batter head is the only one in need of immediate replacement. The top ply has split. All the other heads (Pinstripes) look to have plenty of life left. The 15 looks brand new (coated Emperor). The resonant heads are all original and fairly clean with the exception of some dried duct tape adhesive from old’damping’. The kicks have fairly gently used Powerstroke 3 coated heads with lots of life left. Did I say that these things sound HUUUUGE? ! ? ! ? The snare has an Evans Genera Dry and the DG snare has an Evans Timbale head that gives a crack that will tame the wildest lion from across the stage!! This snare, alone, is worth a pretty penny!! Hardware (all double braced HD): each bass drum has a triple tree with two tom mounts and one boom cymbal mount. The are two floor stands each with triple tree, a tom mount and one boom cymbal mount and one compound boom cymbal mount (for big chinaboys and such). A snare stand and a hi-hat stand with support bar for legs-up double bass set-up. An additional boom cymbal stand. ALL of this hardware fits into a beautiful Impact brand lowboy trunk hardcase with wheels and wheels are good bc this thing weighs close to 4000 lbs! There are two bass drum pedals. One with hardplate and one with collapsible springy wire things. There’s not enough room in the lowboy for these, too, so. I don’t care where you’re from but, you’ve gotta come get’em!! And if that doesn’t work I just may have to part this out into two completely different sets. And if THAT doesn’t work I may just have to part out each and every little piece but. I don’t want it to get anywhere near that point. I worked hard to put this beast together and it’s a DOOSIE!! It really is a gorgeous kit. I just wanted to thank everybody out there for your comments and interest in this kit. I’ve always been pretty aware of what’s in the market. Especially for the last 20 years. And this kit really is a one in a million. Stop even THINKING about not wanting this kit. It, literally, is two complete drum sets. Well, minus a hi-hat. Though, I’ve got a remote hi-hat, too. When I went in. I went ALL IN!! Need microphones for all these drums? Guess who’s got em? Need cables for those microphones? A 16-8 Mackie board? It’s SICK how much gear I’ve got.
