This item is an Absolute Mint, never played Gretsch USA Broadkaster 8 x 12 rack tom in the striking Caribbean Blue Gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish. I custom ordered this drum in July 2025 from the Gretsch factory in Ridgeland SC through Soundpure when they were a Gretsch Drum Dealer. I thought about adding it to my 4-piece Broadkaster set but decided that I would stay with the original 4 piece configuration. It comes with two factory installed internal mufflers and a Permatone coated batter head and Permatone clear resonant head. NEW VERY LOW PRICE. PRICED TO SELL FAST. Per the Gretsch Literature. From the 1920s through the 1950s, Gretsch’s flagship drum set was the legendary Broadkaster series. The thin, three-ply shell produced that original “Great Gretsch Sound”. Drum Center of Portsmouth was influential in the prototyping of the latest iteration of the Gretsch Broadkaster when we visited the folks at Gretsch and discussed the relaunch of this classic line! These new Broadkaster shells are made with a North American maple/poplar/maple formula. Each 6.7mm shell includes an interior-ply scarf joint that adds structural integrity to the thin, musical shells. Like all USA-made Gretsch drums, shell interiors are finished with classic Gretsch Silver Sealer. The bearing edges are an exclusive reverse roundover, which allows greater surface contact with the drumhead. Toms are outfitted with Gretsch’s “302” 3.0mm, double flanged steel hoops. The result is tone that is incredibly deep and warm… Or as we all know it, That Great Gretsch Sound.

This custom Caribbean Blue Gloss Nitrocellulose Lacquer Finished 6 lug tom features a maple shell, measuring 8″ in height and 10″ in diameter. It has the Gretsch 302 Broadkaster style hoops (brand new) from Dfd and Gretsch Repro Round Badge. It has the Gretsch Silver Sealer and a Repro Broadkaster Black and Orange internal label.
